did I read somewhere something about an U19's CL starting?

Didnt have time to read it, and when I did I couldnt find it again

This should be quite interesting. Being started by our Director of Sport. He's been one of the most impressive people I've ever seen at the club and is a massive encourager of youth development. I think the idea's great - it'll give the kids a broader experience of different footballing styles whilst at a formative age

Currently confirmed (along with Liverpool):
Barcelona, Inter Milan, Manchester City, Celtic, Marseille, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Sporting Lisbon, Wolfsburg, Molde, PSV Eindhoven, FC Basel, Fenerbahce, Rosenborg, B.Munich, PSG

 Would have thought we'd be first on that list! Come on wenger!

I hope the lack of Arsenal transfer news is because Europe is still closed, apart from Gervinho we don't sound like signing anyone at the moment.

We can end this argument now by all agreeing that Liverpool's new academy is the best! ;)
Flooding the lower age international teams, about 50% come from our academy now..
Okay, so the team's still crap, but we'r the cream of the crap

Newcastle clearly has the best academy! We've produced Taylor and Carroll!

Well Leeds won't be joining the ranks of the Prem any time soon.

I reckon Snoddy will go, for a good price, but he's too important for us. Casper has gone for a song and we've brought in Rachubka :/

At least it appears the Smith deal has broken down.

Back on the subject of youth setups, Leeds' is hard to beat.

We're losing players to Barca now though. Grrr.

Sorry but you're talking out your arse,
Sorry, but that is a bit rich coming from you.....

I never said we had a great youth setup, i said we had one of the better ones. We are one of the better ones IMO, not many Premier League clubs have 'produced' the same amount or more premier league players.

Regardless of their age that they joined they all played for the youth teams and were played in the first team. So they count as an academy graduate?

It doesn't matter if they are not great players or good in your opinion. The fact is that they all were brought through the academy at some stage and now play in the Premier League.
I don't even know why i am debating this in here as it is completely off topic. So this is the end.

I don't reckon snoddy will go tbh, losing Kasper sucks though I reckon Rachubka may only be our backup keeper and we will sign somebody else for the #1 jersey.

Smith would have been nice but we can't afford the wages he wants even if Newcastle do pay half.

last night i had a dream and gary lineker told me we will sign kaka.

I dreamed I got a call from my history teacher from school who was asking me about a Japanese class I took in university, and about collecting used clothes to give to charity.

I interpret this as we'll sign Ryota Moriwaki and make Bebe head coach of the youth team.

Carson signed for bursaspor for 2m apparently, wonder who they will get to replace him, maybe Kuzchak?

I'd say that's a very real possibility. God riddance to bad rubbish IMO

PIG even made me feel nervous during Red Nev's testimonial :o

De Gea and Lindeagaard next season and we're set!

I think PIG has done well for the club, it's hard to keep a good quality 2nd/3rd choice keeper and he has fulfilled that well. Came in when VDS was injured the season before last and played well. How many other clubs can say they've had 2nd/3rd choice keepers as good as Foster/PIG and Lindegaard/PIG?
