This transfer window is a joke, preseason training isn't far off, I'm fed up with Wenger waiting till August the 30th to buy completely the wrong players, again.

In fairness, I didn't think the transfer window officially opened for non-English transfers until tomorrow? Bit harsh criticising Wenger for not doing something before they can actually announce anything.

He's faster than Gallas who played left back for a title winning team and he was better defensively than Cole, but worse offensively. You don't have to be the fastest player in the world to play fullback, its fairly essential to being able to be a fully fledged offensive fullback AND be able to get back to defend when required.

Clichy seems to want out, Gibbs isn't anywhere near ready to be first team, defensively he's very weak, physically he's very weak, offensively he's only had 2-3 great games, most below par. Clichy at the moment isn't playing particularly well, but Gibbs would be a pretty big step down, Vermaelen would be a HUGE step UP defensively for Arsenal at left back.

Personally I don't think Cahill is anywhere near good enough for a top 4 team, which is what we should be aiming at.

Even if Vermaelen was good in that position I don't think signing two average CB's and then putting our best one out wide is really the answer. You'd think we'd have higher ambitions than some mid table players, or are they the only CB's in the world? :p

I also don't rate Gibbs, he's looked suspect defensively every time he plays and isn't good enough offensively to really offer anything. Definitely not first 11 material.

Guess SSN finally got a whiff of the Nasri -> United/City, or Clichy -> City rumours buzzing around.

If United bid for him he wont go to City.
Thats not as a United fan, just a football fan in general, yes I would earn more money, but in the next 4 to 5 years where would I stand more chance of winning the league and consistently win cups?

What have I missed? SSN breaking news thing says they're interested in Nasri but are close to signing Clichy. People over on the CAF though are saying they're close to signing Nasri :confused:

SSN 'understand' that City are in advanced stages regarding buying Nasri for £20m and 180,000 a week.

So if i had to predict.
Sanchez -> United.
Nasri -> City
Mata -> Arsenal
... Downing -> Liverpool ( wheres the puke emoticon ?)

"Sky Sources" reporting that Nasri to City for £20m is close to completion.

Well that if true is just a stupid move, City who will re-hash there squad again in Jan and then Summer again im sorry and this goes to any player. City is the worst club to go to until they decide which bloody eleven they will play and keep or get rid of Also surely he would want to move to a club who has been regularly in Champs League and been competing for things for awhile which again City don't offer, They might but as of yet there not there yet hell could just be one year wonders in Champs league so his choice would look rather crap too.

He would be better at UTD or quite Frankly staying at Arsenal than going to them.
