tw@tter is saying that United have 2 medicals booked at Bridgewater for next week. Apparently last time they said there was one booked for Monday and it was DeGea.

We shall see.

Skip, sometimes I have the urge to put a pillow over your face when you're sleeping, and just hold it there until you stop moving... :(

That's nothing to do with your post I don't know why I quoted you. I just felt that I should tell you, seeing as my Steam still isn't working.

-_-

Yeah, well, sometimes I stick my John Thomas in your mouth while you're sleeping.

Manchester City will test Everton’s determination to keep their top stars by making a players-plus-cash offer for Leighton Baines.

Blues boss Roberto Mancini rates the left-back as the best in the Premier League and originally made enquiries about the England defender months ago.

That initial approach got short shrift from Everton manager David Moyes, but the Goodison Park side are now so cash-strapped they cannot even afford a down payment on their no.1 target, Wigan’s Charles N’Zogbia.

Moyes will almost certainly be forced to sell one of his biggest names to finance any serious move in the summer transfer market and City hope it will be Baines, who they value at £20million.

City will offer a cash payment of around half that figure, plus Everton's pick of two players to make up the difference, with forwards Emmanuel Adebayor and Craig Bellamy possible solutions to their striker hunt.

Moyes is also a fan of defender Nedum Onuoha, while winger Shaun Wright-Phillips and full-back Wayne Bridge are also available.

The Scot has to balance any transfer plans with the fight to keep his big international stars such as Baines, Phil Jagielka, Marouane Fellaini, Mikel Arteta and Jack Rodwell, who is another on City’s radar.

Everton hope to raise £4m when defender Joseph Yobo makes his loan move to Turkish side Fenerbahce permanent, but wideman N’Zogbia will cost more than twice that, and there are no more funds available.

Hahaha :D Adebayor to Everton, this just shows how **** the Mirror's journos are!

What I hate about twitter rumours is how people just use the word "twitter" as though that gives it instant validation. When it actual fact it's freely interchangeable with "some pleb I've never met." If that pleb is Alex Ferguson, then fair play, you might be on to something. But it's it's ROONEYFAN97 from Hong Kong, then you're just deluding yourself.

Exactly. Twitter can be useful if you know who to follow. It's all these itk/agent accounts that idiots keep posting on here that drive me mad.

Personally, having wanted Sneijder to join, at the moment I'd settle for ANYONE in midfield.

The fear of another season of Carrick in midfield, and what probably will be a bit part swan-song season for Giggs means it'll be Fletcher with either Carrick or Anderson.

Also I'm worried that we haven't got rid of Gibson/Evans yet, along with Brown and perhaps O'Shea, although I don't mind him as backup.

Interesting times though!

Are there any talent in the youth squad that could fill the midfield in say 2-3 years? I heard Pogba is likely to see some first team action next season... probably in the Carling Cup though.

What about Clev? Can he play cm?

Yes he can (and was there for the England U21 team last few weeks in parts)

Pogba and Morrison are "big" names at Utd in the Reserves , however Morrison has a lot to deal with off the field, and Utd really need an experienced central creative element in the final 1/3 which hasnt been present for several seasons (at least as long as the period when PS's legs went and he started sitting further and further back)

Gibson is as good as gone - it just depends on whether Newcastle are actually that interested, but he will probably end up at Sunderland (the deal was delayed because of the Wickham one, which is totally understandable) - pretty certain OSHea and Brown deals are also reasonably close too.

I think Evans will turn into a decent player for a mid - low EPL team, where the pressure to win every match doesnt (yet) exist and he can (re) learn his game. He was an outstanding defender for Utd in his first 18 months in the senior team, but for the last season or two he has been more of a liability.

Got a suspicion that SAF is after another Left full back after Verane signed for RM, with Da Silva's left to fight for the RB slot

Pogba tunnicliffe and Morrison all have the potential to come into our first team (the first two in the middle of the park) but it'll be a couple of seasons.
