They are welcome to him at that price and wages, a **** take for a player with not very long left on his contract that looks like he wants to move regardless of a new contract offer.

Arsenal fans:

If he does end up at City, do you not think it's a bit of a 'bad' statement coming out of the club that you are selling (arguably) one of your better players to a team that are challenging to keep you out of the top four?

BALLZ

**** off City I want Nasri at United :mad:

Honestly it's a 'Sky sports sources understand' story. They're in all likelihood trying to do nothing more than set up a United/City 'Show down' in typical Sky style to get viewers. He's probably no closer to signing at either club than he was this morning - Just a lot of noises on the internet - worth throwing out a breaking non-news story to drum up some excrement until tomorrow when someone inevitably gets 'snubbed' for a deal that never existed.

^^ 13th August

Pre-Season should start in about 2 weeks for most teams.

I really hope it is BS! I'm not too fussed about the prospect of losing him for £20mil+, It's the fact that he's going to one of our direct rivals that annoys me. Why can't real throw some stupid money at us for him!

Man City are a joke.

He could but i just cant see how that is a move forward for him which surely he is after

City are spending. Arsenal aren't.

I guess that'd be the main factor... on top of wages.

They finished above us, and are already in the champions league! They could potentially come out of this window the stronger team (if they aren't already) :(

Well I dont know what they said previously but all SSN has said just then is that they're close to signing Clichy and that they've got a strong interest in Nasri

I would imagine the latter has held talks with both United and City by this point

Thanks.

Please Mancini do not sign Nasri!!!

I think it was posted on here?
but the other day there was a rumor on Twitter that Nasri's dad was in Manchester and everyone immediately thought utd but now its looking like it was city also!?!?

Nasri, Fabregas and Clichy all in one week... God damn DM is going to be ****ed! :D

Happyed? is that a word and why was it censored? I've said for ages Fabregas is so good he deserves to go somewhere better and win things, people will be surprised at how well he does at Barca. Nasri I don't rate, isn't good enough and selling him for 20mil rather than put him in as Cesc's replacement, which is a role he's completely incapable of, is a great piece of business. Well it would be if we MEANT to do it rather than being forced into it.

Clichy, as an overall left back he's marginally under strength defensively, but makes up for that with offence, however the way Arsenal play, with no real wide left player, and a lone striker who you can't cross too, he's completely wasted.

Clichy with Gibbs moving to first team, I'll be pee'd off, Clichy and getting someone as good, I have no real issue with that.

Overall as I've said before, I don't really care who we get or lose, Wenger will not get the best out of new players anymore and hasn't in, years and years, he can't get the best out of old players, and he can't organise a team to save his life at the moment.

Meh, at least with Nasri we'll be financially harming our competitors, it seems about the strongest move Wenger is capable of these days, if Utd or City sign Nasri in big wages, thats one less actually top class player they can get. I'd take Mata over Nasri, even if he isn't great yet, the frustrating thing as a fan is continueing to stick with a player you KNOW isn't good enough. You might bring in 5 guys who are worse, but at least you're trying, they might turn out great, thats football. Sticking with someone you know isn't good enough makes certain you aren't moving forwards as a team.

Basically we do need Wenger to go, massive spending isn't required, theres no need to throw out the budget, cheap players can be better than very expensive players, price means nothing. But wasting 30mil a year on players who aren't good enough is beyond stupid.

Oh Look, Sky Sports now reporting our major rivals for the signing of Nasri is Manchester United. That didn't even take them until tomorrow. It's only been on for all of half an hour. Talks**** already reporting Nasri has 'snubbed' City for United too! Amazing!
