Nasri would be insane to join Real, he wouldn't get played much at all.

And probably wouldnt win much in the way of silverware as Real still have to contend with Barca....this upcoming season will be interesting in the La Liga, to see if the Moaning One can spring a surprise and win the league title along with the CL and spanish cup all in one fell swoop.

What options abroad? The only clubs he's been linked with have been us and in the last week City and to a much lesser extent Chelsea.

I'm not saying we'll definitely sign him or that he'll definitely leave but I reckon we're favourites.

It's not like Arsenal haven't sold to rivals in the past, Cole to Chelsea, Toure, Adebayor & Clichy to City, we sold you Silvestre. I dont think it's as unrealistic now as it appeared to be at the beginning of the window

And the last transfer between Arsenal and Man Utd was Matthew Wicks, so transfers between the clubs are very rare. All those transfers there were good reasons behind them. Cole was tapped up, and the deal at the time was a very good one. The 2 to Man City a couple of seasons ago, where just offers silly money for what they where actually worth, and Clichy has been poor for several season's. He never really progressed after his excellent break through.

Although Latest rumour was that Wenger could sell to a English club but only for a stupid offer of £25m.

Martin Keown made a good point, it's very easy in the summer to get your head turned to other clubs when all you heard is your agent in your ear, and no one at the club. Then when you get talking to Wenger/team mates etc, your mind can be changed very quickly, ala Vieira.

Too much pressure on him :p

I don't think he would dare. Here is how I think it would go:

Eboue

Eboue Eboue Eboue Eboue

Eboue Eboue Eboue Eboue

Eboue EBoue

Bench:

Eboue
Eboue
Eboue
Eboue
Eboue

Manager:

Assistant Manager:

Eboue

Like i said a player that starts with an E and ends with an E lol :D:D

What team mates? They're all leaving :o

Do you ever agree with anyone? :p

Could you name your perfect 11 for me if you took over Arsenal considering their finances.

As I've said before its rather daft to ask such a thing. Here's a hint, am I paid MILLIONS a year while employing my choice of scouts and coaches able to find guys in leagues we've never heard of before, no.

Wenger and the coaches, assistant manager and scouts SHOULD do a better job than me.

As for finances, I would never in a million years have sold Diarra, nor let Gallas, or Flamini leave, Theo would never have been bought, Song, Diaby, Denilson wouldn't have sucked 20-30mil out of the club in the past 4 seasons, etc, etc.

Finances, existing players would be VERY different without spending a single extra penny. Given would have been at Arsenal for 5mil a long time ago now, I'd probably have picked up N'zogbia while he was still 5mil, even though he might not be good enough for first team at a top 4 club he'd be significantly better than most backup and get plenty of games.

I keep telling people, its NOT about who we'd buy and how much money we have, its about the woeful woeful decisions in the past 6 seasons, the insanely good players we've lost for literally no reason whatsoever. We lost Gallas because he doesn't get on with Nasri, who is now trying to manufacture his own leave, while Gallas went elsewhere, for less money and had a superb season.

Again without spending a single penny, and saving 10's of millions we could have a stronger squad right now, with more experience, better quality and less dross sucking money out of the club.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Not every player would flourish in the same manner at any club. Gallas may have had a **** season if he stayed. I know its easy to think that you could have done this all better than Wenger but lets be honest, you would make a massive hash of it.

We just want you to tell us your ideal realistic squad for the start of this coming season DM, not a wall of text.

You can answer that, surely?

Ok so with that in mind I'm guess DM's dream XI would be

---------------Given---------------
Eboue--Gallas--Vermaelen--A.Cole?
---Diarra--Fabregas--Flamini---
Arshavin-------------------N'Zogbia
------------Van Persie------------

tbf not a bad team that...

Silvestre?

I thought it was pretty oblivious there was that transfer, considering I'd quote it:p It was the last one prior to that.

He might have meant from Arsenal to Utd...

Wicks actually did it both ways ;) Arsenal to Utd and then Utd to Arsenal.

What team mates? They're all leaving :o

All one of them had left, unless your talking about Tom Cruise, Roarie Deacon and Mark Randall, because no matter what the press 'claim' no one else has left at this time.

It's the same agent just pedalling all his players to City. Darren Dein.

Ain't it just. Sometimes I wonder if it was another club that went through massive financial limitations by moving into a lovely new stadium, while remaining in the Champions League playing very attractive football. I guess that goes down as bad management nowadays.

A very small part of me hopes that all of the transfer rumours are true so the club can get rid of some of the fan base its picked up.

It is only a bit of fun DM. Surely you can name 11 realistic transfer targets or existing players? Let's see the fun daring side of Mr DM :p

Wow how did you come up with a list of players that you like without being paid millions and having loads of coaches to help you out? :p
