There was a reason for that

Didn't really reach the heights he has at Rangers, he couldn't handle the pressure of playing for a big club and with superior central midfielders at the club during his time he was often utilised...badly...on the left.

Moving to Blackpool has really been the best move for him as a player to develop in the central midfield role which suits his lack of pace and he can spray passes from this area. If he stayed with us he wouldn't have reached his potential.

The problem he now has is that he'll be at a big club and will need to live up to the price tag and expectations expected again.

In an overinflated market like the EPL right now £8million is his going rate but in real terms he is no where near that valuable.

Look at Suarez signed for what £22 Million and Carrol signed for £35 Million...

If Price was a true judgement of every players ability then those figures would at the very least be reversed.

All players who can play on the wing, and from what I've seen, probably do it better than Gervinho.

Walcott, Vela, Arshavin and Rosicky are better central, Diaby is better not playing and always plays centre mid anyway and Eboue is better at right back.
