brown and gibson yeah, but sad to see o'shea leave, he was useful to have on the bench,

At least one website is claiming that Sunderland have cooled their intentions re Gibson because he wants too much money in wages, however it looks like OShea and Brown are practically done deals (given good medicals)

At least that should be £6m-£7m back in the coffers (and £80-£100k/week)

I cannot really understand why Sunderland would want Gibson in the first place. Seems like a Steve Bruce/ Fergie favour in exchange for getting Welbeck last season.

Clichy was on about 70k, Nasri similar and Fab on 110k. We would save £13m a year in wages on them. Plus transfer fees (£7m, ~£20m, ~£40m) which would give us nearly £80m to bring in new players and pay for them :o

...or in Wenger's case make us debt free.

Hell, we could give Denillson, Almunia and Squillaci away and save about £10/y in wages as well.

fashionably late :D
i figured it was probably in the hargreaves thread but i couldn't be bothered to read it. i think what he's doing is commendable though. he's won 2 cl trophies and has enough money for a comfortable retirement but he wants to play and prove himself.

edit: just found the same clip in the hargreaves thread but the sounds better on the one i posted

It's all coming together, Sneijder, Modric and Nasri all seem to be stagnating. Gibson deal falls through...

Gibson is going to be our new superstar playmaker isn't he. :p

He has the appetite and hunger which Arsenal are lacking. He keeps getting knocked back but keeps on going. Besides we have the best rotating door medical centre in the country.

So Modric has had a 40 minute meeting with Levy, guess that can only of ended with Modric saying he wants to leave :(

Phew! I thought you were gonna say someone has signed Hargreaves. :o

Hopefully it won't be too long until we sign him. ;)

I don't see how he could be stopped. Buys his contract out, another club buys it out... surely there isn't much Spurs could do to stop him.
