Going forward he's good enough but potentially a liability at the back - probably play Corluka in the big games non?

Yeah, although they have Biscuits and Mascherano always sitting deep, so they'd probably get away with it.

they never play both of them together, its usually one or the other.

even with 1 holding mid, you cant really play 3 at the back, especially busquets who is still learning the role so to speak, he is average at best and needs much more experience. mascherano could do the job but pep uses him as a backup/bench player mostly.

there is no way barcelona should change their whole setup to accomodate 1 player. the people even thinking for longer than 10 seconds on the matter really need to be see sense.

their best option as already stated by me is, drop pedro, move iniesta to pedro's position and let fabregas take iniesta's role.

their keeper isnt as good as everyone thinks he is and alves is more of a right mid than right back, so losing another defender isnt going to help at all.

Still think this is a bad idea.
Pedro > Iniesta in attack.
Iniesta > Fabregas in midfield.

Change nothing.

Just seen on the Fletcher BBC story that only Young out of our 3 signings will be on the US tour, anyone know why? Was quite looking forward to seeing them :(

Cole would be a good signing for Stoke in my opinion. For some reason I thought he would to go to Newcastle - but seems they only want frenchies now.

I think with Nasri off to Asia that he isn't going to leave. Fabregas and Bendtner not being there is ominous.

Probably because De Gea/Jones were playing till not long ago in the U21 tournament?

Correct. Just the same as Welbeck, Cleverly, Smalling etc.

The following players will join the tour after their agreed leave time: Chris Smalling, Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley, David de Gea, Phil Jones, Javier Hernandez.

Taken from the official site.

That Wenger interview did my head in. Earlier this summer has was talking about definitely adding depth to the squad. Yesterday he said they only needed 1-2 exceptional signings. Gibbs looks like he's definitely being promoted to the first team, which means that he'll be out injured for most of this year and we'll have nobody decent at left back.

Bang. Head. On. Wall. Another empty-handed season awaits, hooray!
