So many players these days are priced out of playing football at half successful clubs when they have left a top club after a big transfer.

By which I mean so many players have gone this transfer window that could have done a good job for us but the wage demands after being at a 'big' club rule them out.

Take Bentley for example, he could have turned his career back around for us but his wages to sign for us would rule it out. Same for SWP. Hell even Keane would have been a major plus for us.

I'm not a fan of this loan system and think it should be banned in the same league but I always thought we might get Macheda as Moyes has a decent relationship with Fergie.
 
Apparently we asked if they would let us have Cleverley till the end of the season and Man U said it's up to him but he said he'd rather compete for his place there, which is far enough given the start he has made.

If there was anyone from Man U I would have liked to have seen us enquire about it would be Rafael on loan, obviously before he done his shoulder. God knows we need a right back and he would have started every game, so would get a ton of experience. Oh well just have to live with Nev pointing away for the rest of the season. :(

I dont get the hate for Inter/Sneijder though, the latter especially has done the unprecedented and thanked our fans for their support in trying to bring him to the club sign of real class from him and his Mrs for this reason alone I hope we do go back in for him (even though it's now doubtful as he'll be 28 next summer)

You'd of had zero chance of getting Rafa on loan, had he not done his shoulder he'd be playing RB for us. Not sure about the Cleverley part either, from quotes I've read Fergie made it clear to everyone that both Cleverley and Welbeck would be in and around the first team this season and not going out on another loan

You could have had Gibson though, we'd of given you him ;)
 
I couldn't of seen Cleverly or Samba Nev II going out on loan this season.

I'm happy to say that Sheffield Wednesday would probably take Gibson as long as you paid his wages for a season :cool: Phone Fergie.

Oh dear Biz, Hargreaves hasn't been included in City's Champions League squad :o but I thought he was being signed for his Champions League experience? :p


Dont worry Owen you wont be missing anymore Champions League finals at City :D
 
I didn't realise he had such a weird voice. Has he honestly spent so long in Germany and America doing rehab that he hasn't had chance to pick up a Manc / normal English accent while here.

He probably wont be in the squad anyway but why would he when he is not match fit?

Your not allowed to train with players named? Of course you are so he can still offer his experience.

Just admit it, your team is going for a world record of amount of squad players to not play a match.
