The thing is, just because they make loads of money more than you(I'm assuming) and me, its not in a lump sum like anyone else, and like anyone else they'll end up buying a huge house that costs more than their yearly income, so they'll have large mortgage and payments to make like every other person struggling month to month to pay for anything.

Fairly sure they do get 2 lump sums per year in Spain, could be wrong, can't be bothered to google it :(

Weiss and Adebayor dont play for us anymore.

Our Prem squad will be:
G: Hart, Pantilimon, Johanson and Taylor
D: Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Richards, Zaba, K Toure, Kolarov and Savic.
M: Milner, A Johnson, Nasri, Barry, Y Toure, NDJ, Razak, Hargreaves and Silva.
F: Dzeko, Balotelli, Aguero, Tevez and Nimley.
So thats 26 but Johanson, Savic, Razak, Balotelli and Nimley dont have to be registered bringing it down to 21 so Onouha and Bridge will probably be included for the sake of it.

Our CL group will be different because we dont have a lot of club grown players, most are on loan or have left.

Yeah, we're ****ed.

hehe, yeah, Everton really screwed themselves over with Yakuba/Saha purchases. They really need to actively want to be a selling club. IE bring in 4-5 new cheap guys, 1-2mil max a piece, up and comers, guys like Jag, or us with Toure, and sell them on 1-2 seasons later.

They really should have pimped out Rodwell, got 15mil +, buy 4-5 cheap players, hope they get one more decent, sell him on. When any player, from £1 to £100,000,000 can turn out to be a dud at any club, due to system/tactics/injury/whatever, you really can't afford to borrow, was it £13mil or something for Yakubu, one player who might suck balls is mental.

Galatasaray offer 4-5mil Euros for Carlton Cole :o

From what I've seen West Ham looked, meh their first couple games, loss and narrow win over the divisions crappest team, then Cole started games and they started looking really a heck of a lot better. He wins headers, bullies defenders, scores goals, knocks the ball back for others, they've just been way better the last three games with him playing more.

4-5mil would be madness, he was actually REALLY good in that Zola year, and still 98% of the reason they were crap in the two seasons after that were sustained injury problems throughout every position in the squad, Cole included. If he has a good season, and due to losing some of the more injury prone guys, and getting new guys in, he could have a huge scoring year in the Championship and maybe carry that form over into the prem again. West Ham/Cole's biggest problem was just utter inability to re-establish form as so many injuries just kept on happening.

If he scores well this season, like 20+, he'll be worth 3 times as much.

Anyone know what the deal is with Carrick at the moment? Do they think that he'll start playing now or stick with Cleverly who's looking pretty good so far

Didnt Carrick have a little knock at the start of thea season that was meant to keep him out of the abandoned England game (and thats why Cleverly started so far)?

I think Fergie will stick with Cleverly for a few more games yet, then give him a rest for Carrick once he's back to fitness.

With the Chelsea and Liverpool games coming up rapidly - I would be surprised if Cleverley /Anderson combo is kept with after the International break

Offer was rejected anyway, that's not to say they won't be back with a higher one.

Can't see it happening now tbh, either Cole wasn't fit or Fat Sam wasn't sure about him, but probably is now, had it happened a week ago and Alladyce could actually buy another striker maybe, I still think not for 5mil, but if something 8-9mil came in they almost certainly would have accepted.

But then, English players don't tend to like going abroad, based on being ex Chelsea and being around under managers handing out wages like candy, I'm not sure there would be a lot of financial incentive for him to agree to the move either.

Dempsey confirmed there was interest from Arsenal - but nothing happened in time I imagine. Would have been a decent buy for Arsenal imo.

After tax, Cole is on less than 4 figures a week. His goal bonus has been stopped aswell. He's one of the lowest earners at the club.

Or could be the fact he has now moved his family over to here?

Footballers are still humans, I think it says a lot when the guy can go from playing in one of the best leagues in the world to the Brazilian league. You rarely hear from the big stars that go over and play in the South American leagues so it's pretty safe to say he was off there for his family.

Yes, Man U fans will harp on about him going to City for the money but in the end that's all players want, money money money.

Leeds just lost their best player due to family reasons, I respect that.

I respect the concept of doing the best for your family too.

However, when Tevez left MANCHESTER United for MANCHESTER City did he not notice he was staying in the same City? When he says he hates Manchester and will never return then why the hell did he sign for another Manchester club?

He then says he wants to be "closer" to his family in South America while happily being linked with a club in Italy.

Then his wife would move to Italy but not England so that was the hurried explanation for that.

Carlos Tevez has a 2 year expiry date at every club he is at and then he wants to move on for another pay day for himself and his pimp/owner/advisor.

And now all that will happen is come January we'll hear about how his family 'tried to settle' over the past 6 months but just couldn't get used to it, so he wants to move for them etc etc.

Still, tool or not he's still a City player, which as everyone else was hoping this time 4 months ago he wouldn't be, it's pretty good, almost like a new signing :D
