Absolutely no need for Busquets. This is why i genuinely dislike City. Work with what you have FFS!
There is a great collection of players at City right now. The challenge is keeping them happy. Do that and there is a title challenge in the offing. Fail to do that and there is a problem.
De Jong has been great, why should he be looking over his shoulder?

To be fair, IF, and only if theres truth to the situation that De Jong, or Kia Jorchiborci, whatever his name is, or both of them are trying to manouvre either a move or a massive massive new contract I see absolutely no problem with City selling De Jong and buying in a replacement.
If you factor that in, theres nothing they are doing wrong, if they just want Busquets to add to the current team including De Jong, then thats them being a bit mental.
Busquets though, leaving Barca for City? I can't see it money, he doesn't need it, better team, no, bigger challenge and the ability to make more of a name for himself, yes.
If he stays at Barca he'll always be a guy who inherited a championship winning side, if he went to City and won the league and the champs league, he'd be part of a team that achieved something new.

Well De Jong/Kia want a huge contract and Mancini/Board arent prepared to hand out big contracts now for someone so replaceable.
I love De Jong but he isn't bigger than the team and if Mancini brings in De Rossi then sell him.
As DM already said for some barca players especially someone like Busquets who will be moved to CB now because of Fabregas he might want to prove himself in the Prem and not just the tall lad who passes to Xavi and Iniesta for the hollywood balls forward.
Of course he will get paid more than he is on now but that is too be expected when you change clubs in most cases.
