It's strange how you only come back with bad things about the players. I think all of the new signings except Santos have Captained their team at some level. You could at least throw in a few positives. I know it hurts for you to say nice things about Arsenal but there are a few things.

And despite you not thinking a win is a positive result against Swansea I disagree. We have just got five new players in the team and we are still suffering from losing most of our best players. The team reached it's lowest point against Utd for as long as I can remember. We might not be getting great performances out of the team but a win and a draw is good.

Just because you want it to be positive, doesn't mean it is. Song captained Arsenal last night, doesn't make him great, benny has captained Israel, name another great Israeli player who you'd kill to have at Arsenal. Why on earth would I care about having 5 captains in the team.

Again I read a story that was negative about Mertesacker, after a terrible performance(from every report) from him, you want me to post that on here as positive because you want it to be?

As for winning against Swansea, no, I don't think beating a team from an utterly flukey, once every 10 years goal is a great sign. Did we look a real goal threat without that, no, did we make the same mistakes, yes, did Wenger continue with his insistance on removing the best player on the pitch which led directly to our attacking play dissappearing, which led directly to consistant pressure on our defence, yes, did I think that was a good sign.... no.

I can't find much positive to say, because there isn't much positive going on. I don't give a monkeys about the Utd performance, it was woeful, and embarassing, but the squad that played that game wasn't in any way indicitive of the actual team we had available before we made 5 signings, it wasn't anywhere near as good as the team we put out against Liverpool and still got beating rather easily. Pretending the transfer window was great and the team is vastly improved by only comparing to the Utd losing squad is a joke of massive proportions, you're deluding yourself quite literally.

Compared to last year, every single guy we've brought in except Mertesacker, maybe, is a worse player than we had, how can you spin that positively, I honestly don't know.

Gervinho is worse than Arshavin(who we haven't even got rid of but won't seemingly play anymore), Benny is worse than Nasri, Arteta is worse than Fabregas, santos is worse than Clichy, Mertesacker...... is utterly unproven but MIGHT be better than what we had, even if Mert turns out great, that isn't enough of an improvement to make up for the loss of Cesc, let alone everyone else.

Mertesacker was crap for Germany, the papers reported it, I said that on here and you had a go at me for being negative..... if Mertesacker was great, I'd have said that and I'd be significantly happier about our defence if he had looked instantly solid for us, or played an outstanding game for Germany, he hasn't.

Park had a great game for South Korea by all accounts, though I can't remember who they played, I don't mind having good players, and if they are cheap all the better, if they can help us commercially, woohoo, if they play in a position we have a bang on unremoveable first team player...... i'm less enthusiastic. Start him instead of Theo and I'll probably cum in my pants out of sheer joy, unfortunately i don't see it happening.

I don't think he got a wage increase, I just think with the way that they pay taxes it would double his money because we tax higher in this country. So after tax he would see a big increase.

The rumours are that he's on $200'000 a week and Sunderland received a £6 million loan fee.

He'll be leaving in the summer too apparently.

Owen Coyle still saying he expects Wenger and Arsenal to come back in Jan for Cahill but if Barca show interest as i read the other day, game over for Arsenal. Saying that i hope we do go in for him in Jan and bag him but i have a feeling other teams might try and disrupt our bid for him ie Chelsea, Utd and even City could put in a sneaky bid for him and if that happens i cant see Cahill coming to Arsenal tbh.

Wouldn't like Cahill at City personally. We have Toure to come back in and he looked good v B'Ham.

Stefan Savic and Karim Rekik (16) look like they are going to be quality. Makes no sense to block them with Cahill.

Why on earth would United bid for Cahill? We're swimming in central defenders, no way we can keep a 6th happy.

Especially now Berbatov can play there.

Thats why i said a sneaky bid;)...

LOL with the amount of players you buy at each position, it wouldnt surprise me in the slightest if you did try your luck...

Except when 2 (or 3 if you count Evans' occasional forray to FB) are regularly used as Full Back's - ie doubling their chances for injury and not being available for central positions when needed :D:(

(I agree with you, I just wish we didnt use two of our most promising young players in unfamiliar positions so......recklessly , sometimes) :D

I can see Utd possibly going for a left full back though, with Evra starting to lack a little and Fabio not making the strides (no pun meant I promise) hoped for......its surely a possibility
