Summer Transfer Window 2021/2022

The Barkley ITK from last year has said he's supposedly signing a new deal. He isn't putting much stock into his own words either but I've gone from no hope to a sliver of hope. He also said Bailey was a definite, we were back in for JWP hours before news of the 25m bid came out and we're pushing for Cantwell too, before the rumours resurfaced again.
Big fan of Cantwell, it'll be interesting to see how he does in a better team if that happens

Are you saying I should be taking the 3/1 odds that he's staying then :p
Guy is sounding more and more confident about it now, describing it as free money :p.

Can't say I'm too hot on him but i'd be happy to be proven wrong. Would honestly feel bad for Norwich at that point as well.

I see Lautaro Martinez is available. Inter are skint and need the money to keep Lukaku. Faint rumours of us wanting to do a swap deal with Lacazette, but inter want cash in the £70m region. He’s not worth £70m but he is young (23) and his goal rate is improving every year. 3-4 years from now he could be right up there with the worlds best.

Manchester United hope to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland, 21, next summer and believe manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's relationship with his fellow Norwegian will prove decisive. (Star)

How come that relationship didn't work out when we could have bought him for 20m last season?

While I'm sure Utd wouldn't have wanted to give him a release clause, I'm not sure that's why he didn't join you. He went to Dortmund because he was guaranteed regular football, something he wasn't guaranteed elsewhere.

Sounds like the Chelsea teenager Livramento is off to Southampton. Brighton wanted him but didn’t agree to a buy-back clause.
Hopefully he turns out rubbish :p

Dortmund has a really solid track record for developing exciting youth talent and then moving them on at the right time. Dortmund was 100% the right move for Haaland. Also knew he couldn't hold a candle to our boy Rashford and was scared. Probably.

Kane hasn't shown up for training with spurs apparently. Trying to force a move through?

This sort of situation really makes me even more puzzled as to what the point of contracts are. Kane has 3 years left on his contract, a contract he agreed to. Now a contract does mean a club is "able" to value a player higher when it comes to accepting a bid on them but what happens when the club doesnt want to sell the player and has them contractually obliged to be their player for x number of years. If a player can just say well I'm not playing for you anymore regardless of the contract, doesnt that make the contract rather worthless. I mean what would happen if Spurs said no, we are not selling you, if you refuse to play then fair enough, you're 28, you will sit on the sidelines now until you're 31 and you can kiss goodbye to representing England at the World cup as you wont have played a single match

well if you believe what you read Kane believes he has a gentleman’s agreement he can leave this summer…
