We are about to sign Jannik Vestergaard from Southampton for £15m.
Happy that we are recruiting welll, not just with Fofana out till 2022, but will add some strength in depth.

Not convinced that is a great bit of business for Chelsea. Yes Werner didn't score many goals last season but I think given the same game time this year he would and he has way more to his all around game than Lukaku.
Lukaku will score goals for Chelsea but they better hope they keep him happy because otherwise big Rom will appear and Lukaku needs to keep his size in check to have any chance of justifying that price tag. Still can't see Chelsea winning the league and I don't see them winning the CL either. Time will tell but thats huge money for a player like Lukaku.

Why are you judging him on the single season of his career that he wasn't at it, and out of shape? He's scored goals at a very decent rate throughout almost all of his career so far. Even the car crash time at Man Utd he got 43 goals over 2 seasons.

not because of the money but great business as in imo they have added final piece of the jigsaw someone to bang in the goals

Wasn't Tammy joint top goal scorer last season for Chelsea, playing 50% less games than Werner? I know who i'd be selling.

Great business suggests theyve got a player on a good deal. Thats an outrageous deal to be honest and when you factor in the alleged wages its laughable.

Even then I'm not sure its a good deal. £100m and £450k a week for Lukaku. Maybe its just me but for that money I want excitement and flair. Lukaku doesn't give you either of those in any real quantity. He will score goals but hes just one of those players I can never "enjoy". Hes no Aguero, Kane, Aubamayang, Vardy etc. Hes very much a mercenary and will go wherever the money takes him. Not convinced by his attitude either. Needs to be pandered to in order to play at his best and I don't know if that will happen at Chelsea.
Time will tell. Hes clearly effective and highly rated by managers as he has the highest combined transfer fee ever.
I don't really rate Lukaku at the top level. Sure he can be good in some games but on the whole, not a fan. Was irritating watching him play for us.

You're already a bit of a mad side, swinging from beating teams at the top of the table to looking like a League 1 side but I really have no idea what to expect from you this season. Losing Ings is a blow and it wouldn't be a massive surprise to me if you end up in a relegation battle, equally you could end up 7th.
