Summer Transfer Window 23/24

That doesn't say anything about how good he is at shot stopping, it just says he's done a lot. If he conceded 90 goals but the guy 2nd on the saves list conceded 20 who is the better shot stopper?
you simply look at save percentage

Raya was top last season on 77.7%

how can you say save percentage means nothing

i aint even replying anymore you ignore anything thats given
Because it doesn't. If one goalkeeper faces most of his shots from outside the area and another faces mostly shots in the penalty box then the first is likely going to have a higher save percentage. It doesn't mean he's a 'better' shot stopper at all. It means he's in a system that gives him more protection. If you bought him and stuck him in the second system he might do far worse despite having a higher save percentage.

The problem for Arsenal is they already made a big statement when they got rid of two quality keepers (who IMO were literally the best two players for Arsenal in that Covid season) to bring in Ramsdale. I really don't see the point in shipping out Leno and Martinez if you aren't going to back Ramsdale into his prime years.
Raya has 1 year left on his contract, I'd see how Ramsdale gets on and then get him on a Bosman next summer if necessary. Or if we really must get a Spanish premier league keeper now just get De Gea, he'll command big wages but no transfer fee offsets that. I know it won't happen however, especially given Arteta favours playing the ball out from the back.

Ramsdale's been bit a bit flaky in preseason but I think overall he's done OK since joining the club. It was no secret I thought it was a sideways move at best at the time but he won me over.

there are better players available for the money there asking TBH
It’s the coming back from an ACL and the massive requested transfer fee that I would be worried about. The kid looks good.

They seem to be limiting his game time in preseason. Not sure if that due to them being careful or protecting the nice big lump of cash they are demanding.

Harry Kane going to Bayern is an odd one unless they win the UCL. Winning German title is less of a feat then being all time greatest goalscorer in Prem imo.

But that record will likely get broken in time, and he'll have won nothing in his career, despite being a top player.

Spurs are just a club going nowhere, he should leave.

Al hilal have offered 120m, and wages of 1m per week for Victor Osimhen. Wow

Hes what, 24. Thats pretty tempting. I think the whole SA league will die in a few years but the question is how many of these star players would be killing their careers by moving there. £1m/week is lovely but if you find that you aren't going to be worth more than £100k/week in 3 years time for the rest of your career and you never play in the CL, was it worth it?

It's a hard weigh up, are they not tax free over there? He could in theory pick up 150m for 3 years but be in a nothing league and move back later on. Is there a risk you could lose your edge in a league like that?

I thought it was after 2 years its tax free but not sure. And you 100% could lose you edge playing in a much weaker league. I would suggest its quite likely. Players go off the boil all the time even when playing at the top level. Playing against league 2 players week in week out is hardly going to keep you in peak form.
