Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Read lots of rubbish sources linking us with Toney. Any truth in it? I reckon he'd bang them in with Saka and Martinelli either side.

he did an interview few days ago about his betting ban and said he's a boyhood liverpool fan and loves the way arsenal play

what a surprise he's linked with us, i've been saying since the day brentford got in prem arsenal should sign toney hes perfect for us.

He's just signed for a big management agency too prolly to advise him on his next move?

This is interview where he states he loves arsenal

I'd have a strong preference for us to sell Toney in the next week. Allows us to use the money now rather than in January or next summer.

He's ban has screwed us - we're being penalised due to his being whilst at other clubs (mainly) and it's going to cost us millions in most transfer revenue as we'd have likely sold him at the top this summer if he wasn't banned.

We've currently got 3 CMs out injured and are seriously lacking in depth. Had 4 players on the bench today who'd be very unlikely to trouble the first team squad in normal circumstances. We also look far less likely to impact games late on they'd subs/formation changes given the injury crisis. Already dropped 4 points from winning positions.

Disappointing to drop from £30m (original touted fee for Nottingham Forest) to £15m + addons and then spending like £5m of that on a replacement.

But better he moved on than not at all.

Ah, another one to add to the list of Utd holding onto a player just for the sake of it to lose a fortune in the long run in the last few years.

Wolves should let him rot and not sell him

Wolves midfielder Nunes goes on strike to try to force through Man City move

Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes has gone on strike to try and force through a move to Manchester City.
Today is the second day of his strike after the 25-year-old did not report for duty yesterday or today. The player will be disciplined by Wolves for refusing to train.
City are expected to return with an improved bid for the Portugal international after Wolves turned down a £47m offer from the Treble winners on Thursday.
Wolves are unwilling to sell Nunes for less than £60m.
Nunes joined Wolves in a club-record £42m deal from Sporting Lisbon last summer and has four years remaining on his contract, plus the option of a further 12 months.

Yeah I think a year into your contract having had a club invest in you and then doing this is pretty petty on the face of things.
Early last season the Telegraph broke a story saying that as part of the deal taking Nunes to Wolves, there was an agreement in place where Liverpool had the option to sign him this summer for circa £45m. Now obviously we've not taken the option and it seemingly doesn't apply to anybody else but it does point to an acceptance from both parties that he could be off after one season.

Obviously Wolves are in their right to either block the deal to City or more likely, ask for more money but you can understand why Nunes won't be best pleased and wants to make the move.

So now Chelsea might be buying Smith-Rowe for less than we paid for that player I don't want to even name from them, you could n't make that up! How to throw money away while dismantling a previously very good squad, what the hell is going on there!

Then why sign the contract? Why not just make it a flat £45m for any club?
