Only for the pre-season games, but to be honest he might make a decent squad player.

Yes, but that first team squad is about 6 first team players in reality. And then he's joining the academy players while the first team fly elsewhere.
It's not as if we've signed him as a first choice centre back.

Which like the first game will be mostly the kids, most first teamers only just joined training and won't be playing.
Well United just signed Johnny Evans so they don't need him now.

Dunno the price probably have to wait for the clubs books to be released over the next few years.
Little bit disappointed he’s going
He can’t play the way Howe wants to. He would not be able to cope with the amount of game time that going to be required this season. Gives us some room to get some deals done.
First one looks to be Barnes. Probably gets done straight away after the sale of Maxi.

Improvement if so. Great entertainment Maxi, unplayable on his day. We've had so many like that through the years and we just can't afford the luxury of carrying a 1 in 5 or 8 player. Probably one of the highest earners too. If he was able to sustain his level of ability and effort that he's capable of then he likely wouldn't be near a club like Newcastle anyway. Good luck to him, fans will look back on his time mostly fondly but will he get talked about in 5 years time? Doubtful.
