Had a message at 06.26am:
hey we are OK and safe still. Has the hurricane past us now? Not heard any strong wind for a while now but can't look out of the windows due to the mattress.

Had a message at 14.55pm our time:
We are safe and OK. The wind and rain has stopped and we are still in lockdown with no internet.

My biggest problem is that we all know the 14c will be taking up 99% of that temperature range of summer and yet people will still moan for the 48 hours that it's hot. Never happy unless it's cold and crap 100% of the time.

Had this off my daughter in Jamaica

Sorry had no signal. We are okay. It is just devastating to see the damage and disruption it has caused. I just keep bursting into tears. It's so emotional and you just feel for the locals and staff as it's their homes. We were out of the room about 10am. Loads of people were helping but it had mainly been done by the time we came down or we would have definitely helped more. Xxx
