Summer weather thread 2024

well we had drizzle yesterday , zero chance on useless BBC apparently , messy autumnal week ahead . dark mornings , Halloween stuff out. kids nearly back to school . summer is nearly over but never really started down here . a dry sunny autumn is my hope

No joke. The weather was better in Greenland!
Come back from sunny 15c days with no wind and dry to 18c humid and overcast and spitting with rain.

Grim.

Feels like the summer is ending early and exactly as it started. Cold, gloomy and grim. Indoor temps already back below 20c. Let the 6 months of cold and darkness commence I guess. :(

I won't let the last couple of weeks of better days rose tint this summer for me. It's been awful. One of the worst I've witnessed.

When will it ever rain again? Spent most of the weekend watering not a drop on the forecast horizon either. Dry as dust. 22c and sunshine is fine but come on some rain please.

It not stopped raining for the last 3 hours here and is due to continue for 4-5 days.... Around 60mm in total :(

Suns out again... fan is on again... back to normal. Spitted with rain for about 5 minutes last night. No sign of the Super Moon totally clouded out.

:(
Send some down here please! Water butts are all but dry.

If it doesn't pick up in September the longest spell of good weather all summer will be when I was in Greenland. I had a look at the weather there today and it's 5 more days of sun. That's like a 14 day stretch.
Seems broken!

Meanwhile.. Back in the UK...
