Tabletop Warhammer?

Due to my ongoing experience with Wayland Games, I would say avoid!

Triple Helix would be my number 1 recommendation.

Ah gotcha. Yeah would still be 5+/4+/3+ without the d.pod though at point blank. The extra +2 is nice however for 5 points!

I currently run a 2 vehicle squad of Tetra's with 2 x BSFilter, 2 x Targeting Array, 1 x Target Lock. Can drop BS4 Heavy Markerlights on 2 separate targets and ignore Night Fighting :)

I believe Markerlights remove Night Fighting from any unit they are on so means you can boost your units without BSFilters if needed (All mine have them though now the USR's mean it cascades down the whole unit).

Fun vehicles and only £34 a pair.

What's the problem with Wayland, if you don't mind me asking?

To be honest I maybe being a little too harsh.

I placed an order 10 days ago now for a pallette, 8 paints, 3 different basing materials and some necron bits. Everything apart from the basing materials are GW. For the 10 days everything has been in stock as I have been constantly checking. They took payment over a week ago yet the items still haven't even been processed in their Warehouse, let alone shipped.

As said maybe I'm being a little harsh due to the weather we have had, but taking 10 days and still not even processing the order seems a little long in my book.

I wouldn't let this put you off completely, but just be wary stuff make take time to deliver.

When playing some games what kind of set up do people usually go with.

I know mandatory you need 2 troops and 1 HQ but i am trying to get my head around building an army and also playing the 6th Edition rules lol some tips would be great if anyone plays Chaos

Below is what I have so far.

1x Chaos Deamon
1x Space marine troops (heavy bolter, plasma gun)
30x Cultists which is classed as 1x Troop
1x Rhino

1x Bikes
1x Warp Tallons

1x Hellbrute
1x Possesed Marines
1x Chosen

No Heavy as of yet

Just as a cautionary note, if you're on their website and it shows green it doesn't actually mean it's in stock, if you look below it can mean that none are in stock but they are on order.

This is the one thing that stops me using them, their stock system seems designed to confuse. Most people think green would mean available but it doesn't really.

Please ignore if you were already aware :D

I am not sure yet I just got the battleforge and dark vengance to start me off as a basic set up. I think I would like to go more firepower really both against hordes and Heavy Tank armies I am completly new to building armies

Or if anyone has a generic build for an army lol

This.

I almost made a large order last night before I realised only a couple of my items were even in stock. Promptly closed the tab and looked elsewhere. Although I'm still to find somewhere that has the range of Vallejo paints I'm after.

For the Vallejo paints have a look at http://www.modelsforsale.com/ most of the Vallejo range seems to be in stock at the moment

Indeed, I really hope they put something similar in the new book. Tau HAVE to be next surely. DA's just got new book and there book wasn't as old as Tau.

I paid £30ish for 20 paints on Ebay. Pick the ones you want and off you go

I'm eagerly awaiting a new Tau book, although the last main rules update did at least give the Tau a slight boost, as they do as it stands at least get a chance to get two shots off before the Orc tucks/buggies/bikes run into them at high speed from across the table...

When Tau work, they work well, but their rules as it stands/stood (last game I had with them, was from memory before the current rule book came out), means that they are basically sitting ducks for anything with reasonable mobility, especially if the table had anything in the way of scenery (although again that changed with the last big rule book).

Well the strongest 40k rumors at the moment are that Tau will be the next to get update + new models. Currently it seems it will be the GW spring release!

After reading this I went and had another look:

High Availability: If in stock should ship in 1-5 working days, if not then 3-9.
Ordered In: Special orders from suppliers, should ship in 3-12 working days
Expected Soon: Resupply expected, should ship in 7-14 working days
Pre-Order Only: This item will be shipped when released to us by the supplier
Out of Stock: This item is presently unavailable

I've just noted that word IF at the start of High Availability. So technically High Availability should read:

If in stock should ship in 1-5 working days, if not then 3-9. This could also mean the items aren't actually in stock but on order but to make you give us money we will still tag them green rather than be truthful and tell you they are on order.

Exactly, it's why I've never ordered from there. All the comments I see about them on the net are that they are really slow to deliver and this is probably why.

I wouldn't mind if they made it obvious it would take a while but the way they do it seems a tad deceptive.
