Tabletop Warhammer?

Not hugely impressed with my first order at Triple Helix so far. They've emailed me to tell me my order is on hold because something is out of stock....but it doesn't say what is out of stock. There is also no way of seeing what is in stock on the website :confused:

Give them a call, if you ask they will send you what they have and then send the rest when its in.

It was mentioned somewhere in this thread that they don't have lots in stock but they do get orders in quick and out to you quick. usual time is a week I think.

If you have ordered models and paints it will be the models!
 
Damn this thread, came across it whilst browsing the forums and now have an itch to dig my old figures out and have a look. They have been in the cupboard for 10 years lol

You need to make sure you've installed Vassal and the 40k 5.4f module (guide here)

Then you need to create an army list and set it up in Vassal (Guide here) Have an army list saved in notepad as well as you will need it. You could also use the BattleScribe program (link here) to create army lists. HOWEVER, I would double check it against the relevant codex as it is possible to create illegal army lists in it. Also please note we are playing 5th edition rules.

It also might be a good idea to read this tutorial. It runs you through one turn on Vassal so you can get an idea how things work.

We also use the PC gaming mumble server (details in sticky in PC forum) for chat so you might want to set that up if you haven't got it.

It all looks more complicated than it actually is, once you've done a turn or two it becomes very simple to use.

Trying to do this all now but having loads of grief.

Got the program installed and vassal40k downloaded but none of the army lists show any units and I have no idea how to work out unit costs to be able to construct an army.

Any help would be appreciated :)

edit: On the plus side I have loaded all the units but still no idea what anything costs :p

Wait, is it Vassal or Battlescribe you're struggling with?

If it's Vassal, ignore it completely for the moment. You want your army completely written before even touching Vassal.

If it's Battlescribe, once you've downloaded the program you need to download the data files (army lists basically) from here

How many points and what sort of game then and I will sort something out :)
