Argh. Being told that my things have arrived but still having an hour before I'm home is really annoying.
Edit: New toys!
I've painted the cloak of the Chosen Champion with Bloodstain Red and my first impressions of these paints are that they're going to be awesome. Out of the bottle, they're quite thin; not thin enough to apply directly with a brush, but I mixed this 1:1 with some acrylic medium and it was perhaps a little too thin, although not overly runny at least. Coverage is decent, although it is going to take another couple of coats at this level of thinning in order to get a nice, even coat. They seem to have a fair bit of flow improver and drying retarder in them, as I put my brush down five minutes ago and there are still visibly wet patches on the miniature, so their claim that they were designed for wet blending and stuff seems to have some evidence to it.
Also impressive is how quickly they were shipped and delivered from Miniature Heroes. I was expecting a longer wait as they seem to be a small, possibly even one-man operation, but nope. This is awesome.
