Tabletop Warhammer?

Yes, the chap at fauxhammer changed his no1 recommended 3d printer to one that hasa resin warming drawer or similar recently, said it makes a massive different.
not sure what it was that he recommended, but he said they'd picked all the small anoying things with every other machine and got rid of them all into one package, which is good news.
should encourage all the manufacturers to follow suit!

I need to get a better electric radiator or wait for warming weather before i jump head first into 3d printing again

It's amazing how much difference it makes on failures etc.

I can just about hit 20's with the small portable heather going and the oil blasting hah.

There's a lot more 3rd party custom parts floating around now for each faction.

I use the following on my Mars 3 Pro and it really helps.

Also pretty much finished my Kill Rig, Wurrboy still needs finishing off, then a matte varnish for the whole thing and some pigment for the base. Pretty happy with it, not 100% on the trampler Squig, haven't really painted anything so big before that's organic. Love the model though. Lots going on!

Also kitbashed a Trukk out of a GSC Goliath, came out pretty well. Primed up the looted Battlewagon I made out of a Leman Russ... that one came out pretty awful and hilarious but I kind of like it.

Awesome work! Where did you get the paint holders?

Cheers :) They're from InfinityEngine on Etsy.

They're pretty good, but I'm not convinced by the vertical thing. It's really easy to knock one out of it, and it always knocks some others out on the way down. Tricky to see them as well. It's really space efficient though.

I backed a kickstarter for a 3d printable set that look a bit sturdier, will be trying them when it finishes.

Just tried out some of the AK paints I bought!!

Wow I really like

Very nice matt finish.

Took me a wee while to figure out that they didn’t need much thinning down.

Hey all...

My 12 year old nephew has recently bought his first kit, a small Warhammer 40,000 set that he's very excited to start painting and playing with.

It was not my suggestion but, funnily enough, the first kit I ever bought was a Warhammer 40,000 set when I was about the same age. He's truly a mini me. However, I unfortunately rarely used my kit because I had no one to play it with after my big bro moved out.

Anyways, I think it's nice that he's got a new hobby and I don't want him to abandon it like I did. I'll play the game with him of course, but I was also hoping some of you Warhammer gurus could suggest some good resources I could send his way, or even recommend some other items he could get to help fuel the passion.

So any websites, stories, books, worldbuilding resources, additional kits etc for a newbie?

thetrolltrader seems to be the easy way otherwise it's ebay or any local clubs from what I've seen.

I really should try and sell a load of my stuff that'll never get painted but ebays always seems more effect than it's worth for the hassel = price ratio imo.

Just found out my pre order for leviathan has been cancelled as independent stores are only getting 33% of orders promised.

Games workshop...go to hell with this limited box launch BS

Edit: got a copy after a friend pulled out so took his pre order, also seems to be plenty of stock on the actual GW site as well this morning.
