Tabletop Warhammer?

Ah sorry. Not sure about other shops around there, may need to get them online.

Of course I could also get what you need as shops around here sell them and post them out :D

I was missing about with my other models just slapping random contrast paint on to see what happened and stuff and I accidentally found a combination I actually really like.

It's nazdreg yellow over the death guard spray base.

ugh. Whats peoples favorite metallic paint? I have most of the GW and all the pro Acryl line. The pro acryl is good apart from silver!!!!

Trying to find an alternative to Leadbelcher

I like Scale 75 metallics, closest to leadbelcher is probably Black Metal.

Vallejo metal color series are nice too but very runny so a bit different to most of the others, definitely worth trying though.

Went into a minature shop today to get some supplies, hoping to restart some painting.
Saw the Leviathan box and I got to say, for a split second, I was tempted.
Despite the fact I don't have £150 to blow, no friends to play with and it takes me nearly a year to paint 1 model.

Putting it down to a moment of nostalgia from the 2nd edition box set.

ordered some Vallejo model air gunmetal and sliver to try out. I know it's not the metal colour range but they are like 8 quid a pop!!

Attempting a river/Stream bank base. for my speeder. Work area is currently like a kindergarten desk lol

Weaksause. Street corners are available to make a quick buck :P Gotta get that plastic

Thought my nephew was winding me up as he said there was a box of Warhammer in my car.

Went and checked and yep, plague marines. I bought another box last week and went back through my phone to realise I bought them as well as the combat patrol on day one. Put in side bit on car door and forgot about it.

Probably will take it back as don't really need 21 but would give me more options in lieu of magnets.

Realise its GW, but what about Iron Hands Steel, that seems quite good, has more of a light catching glint than Leadbelcher.

I like both those chaos marine colours so far, the yellow looks great over that green.

The goal line keeps getting extended for me finishing my 20 marines display as I recently ordered a 3D print for a shoulder herald logo that I couldn't find a transfer for, that when it arrived made me realise I actually prefer 3D prints to transfers, so for the remaining ones I've not yet started I've ordered some more 3D printed shoulders for different chapters, enough I can do another 40 different chapters if I want, it was only one per faction in a combo pack, so perfect for what I need it for. Waiting for delivery of that, but have now ordered a case that should fit them all and steel shelf tape for their magnets which should be everything I need, then I just have to paint and finally finish it all up.

A Space Wolf below that I think has a fitting nutcase style expression, looks a bit rough on the blue armour paintjob but looks a lot better in person, for some reason couldn't get a smooth front image. I'd already applied transfers to this one so will keep it as it is rather than go over again with a 3D print. Will at least be able to make sure they all fit in my case when it arrives tomorrow.

Did some test painting today, forgot how relaxing it is.

Managed to get the effect I am after for the base layers and basic highlights with contrast paint after some experiementing with different undercoats and painting methods, just not quite the correct color/tone.

Got one of those lab shaker things coming tomorrow as a couple of my contrasts have settled out and still didnt mix properly after a good 10 mins, so hopefully end up where I am aiming for color wise, if not, will be back for more lol.

YES!!!!!!!!
Think I found my goto Silvers. Vallejo Model Air Gunmetal and Model Air Silver. Very nice to use straight out of the bottle. Great coverage in one coat and smooth with a brush!!! Pro Acryl silver was **** in comparison. Poor coverage and after 3-4 coats would leave not so nice brush marks. Gunmetal very close to leadbleacher in the deepness of the shade but leadbleacher has a more redish/brownish tone, Gunmetal more on the cooler side. Don't trust my judgement too much as I'm colour-blind!! picked up the tip from tabletop minions, He says the golds are bad tho.

First time ever using a contrast paint, Magmadroth Flame, can't say I'm too impressed?? Looks pretty flat to me and that is after 2 coats.

It is a pretty good base orange as I've struggled to find any that were not watery, but still think I'll need to wash and highlight that.

Those Cadian models look so darn cute compared to the newer versions.

Probably had them 15 odd years.

Trying to get back into painting after a few years break, contrast paints had only just started to come out about when I stopped last time, so new to me. I needed a break though painted 3 2000 point armies in a row, Tyranids, Grey Knights and Chaos Space Marines and I was suffering serious burn out all though I did get them all done.

These imperial guard has been stored away for a long time, maybe one third pained but I'll strip the lot and redo. I have enough models to keep me going a long while without buying any new ones.

I actually prefer these, got a box of cadians but also the recent Cadia Stands box.

That's a lot of armies to paint.

Would love some advice on a chaos army :)

Got an old style start a chaos army box, with few additions like rhino, terminators.

Past few months have been spent doing Black Templars. Epic models with superb sculpts and loads of detail.
only downside is that it takes an age to finish anything. I have around 1000pts so far so am just continuing to build that force until I have 2k to play with.
For larger games I am using my necrons as they only managed one outing in 9th edition and I have nearly 4k in painted models.

my Tau have taken a backseat at the minute but I am picking the new Farsight mini up tomorrow so hope to get that done but am likely to leave them shelved until their codex drops.

ahhhhhhhhhh. Was just putting finishing touches to the Thunder strike and just noticed that I missed the gun hood on the bonnet.......... 2 hours later after a little bit of airbrushing and glazing think i got it blended in good enough. Still annoying as there is a gap that wouldn't have been there had I build it correctly!!!

Thought I was looking at GW box art there for a second

Cute is not a word you would associate with the grim dark!!
