Tabletop Warhammer?

I believe I have declared my love for H&S as a company before on here after I got the full princess treatment from their customer service on an issues that i caused on the brush!! I currently have the infinity and older ultra and couldn't recommend them enough!! The older brushes only have one fault and that was the trigger response which the guy below had an extremely cheap fix (two seals). The issues was enough for pros to move away from the brand included the guy in the video below. I didn't even notice it myself until after watching what the issue was lol

Get the new Ultra if you are thinking about getting one. They take so much faff that a beginner doesn't need deal with out of the equation.

Im not sure if the enchanted steel has quite the blue tinge/sheen I was hoping for, but definately on my radar, I'm basically after a dark silver with a blue sheen, to reflect the power field of the weaponry. My Dark Angel's strike force is definately leaning into the advanced 'Knights on steroids' strike force; and multiple shields, between the anticipated Deathwing Knights, the Lion, Captain with Relic Shield, Lieutenant with Storm Shield and Bladeguard, all the whilst supported by assault intercessors, Hellblasters, Dreadnoughts, and a single lone squad of Intercessors bringing up the rear haha

Thank you. I'll definately take a look :)

Does anyone have any good recommendations for basing materials also? My FLGS does quite a few, but the bags all feel so tiny, and wondered if anyone did them in bigger bulk :)

I use Geek Gaming Scenics for my orks, their base ready mixes are great! Just slap some of their Basing glue down, dunk it into the mix in a Tupperware container/sprinkle it on, wait for the glue to dry overnight then go back over with their base sealant and it's solid as a rock and looks great!

Anyone with a Resin printer here?

I think i've found the best solution (for me) for storing paints!

Won't cost the earth, expandable and takes up zero desk space unlike so many of the laser cut MDF options out there.

The only option is obviously you can see the name of the paint when it's in the rack, and while searching for printable sticky labels to fit them I came across these beauties!

So decided that "Right, that's it, i'm finally going to get a 3D printer!" But upon more research, it seems that having a Resin printer in a living space really isn't a good idea due to the fumes that come off of them, and without a garage or a spare room for it I think it will have to wait till I move to a bigger place :(

I'm not sure how much work would be needed to print off those name caps for paint pots, but if anyone has a Resin printer and is up for the challenge i'm more than happy to pay for them to be printed :D

Just had a look at those wall holders, they are for FDM printers and not resin but you are right resin printers are not suitable indoors they really do stink.

I have got both types of printers here a Bambu X1C and a Saturn 2 resin printer, those paint pot tops are resin and pre-supported which helps.

How many of those wall racks would you need ? as I could soon print those off for you, if we can find the stl file needed to print it elsewhere.

The paint tops are a different matter though as my resin printer is kept in my garden shed and its too cold at present, the filament printer is indoors though no smell from it.

I have also got a laser engraver/cutter and could easily make these https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/105...allery-1-31&sts=1&dd=1&organic_search_click=1

Cheers all

I'll probably buy the racks as they're available and not too expensive, it was the paint tops which I was needing to be printed as can't imagine them being available to buy online :)

Are the tops something that you could print when it's a bit warmer?

May have found a MakerSpace near me with 3D printers, but definitely still interested if it's something you can do :)

Yes when it warms up they could be printed no problem at all, from memory I have seen some other swatches that you stick on top of the pots and paint the relevant colour on.

I will see what I can find and maybe they could be filament printed, did you want the matching name on top of them too ?

Cheers all

Plus one for this - GGS Base Ready is probably one of my favourite 'tools' overall, makes great looking bases very easy.

Orks that i've used it with: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/tabletop-warhammer.18260542/page-113#post-36570700

The names on the top is the key component for me, as when the pots are stored in the wall mounted racks you won’t be able to see the names of them, I also really like that they’ve got the type of paint on there as well. Thinking everything ordered by Base/Layer/Technical etc and then in colour coded order as well is giving me a hard on  :o

I’ll give the Makerspace near me a visit after Christmas, I’d like to get a printer at some point and doing it myself with some assistance there would be a great bit of practice, but if that doesn’t work out could I give you a DM when it warms up a bit? :)

No problem at all and if you need any more info about the resin printers just ask, I have had the resin machines for over 3 years now.

To be honest the best bang for your buck would be the Elegoo Saturn 2, reasonable build area plus 8k resolution screen which produces stunning detail.

Thanks mate, I was researching earlier and was so close to hitting the buy button but I don’t have anywhere to realistically put one at the moment :( Garage/Workshop will be an essential ok my next place so sure I’ll be tapping you up for some assistance then

Help!!

I'm on Alliexpress looking at tools :D

You can get Dspiae side cutters directly from them for like 25 bucks. Biggest rival to Godhands. They also have a pen drill/sander hmmm The nippers are like 35 quid-45 quid on resellers in the UK.

15 for other sellers hmmmm

I have the Dspiae st-a nippers and they're great, highly recommend them if you want clean cuts. An insane jump up for random bargain basement tool snips which I now only use for rough cuts. I tend to leave a chunk of large sprue on the section I'm cutting, that way the dspiae can be used at a better angle close to the part.

after them to save me a bit of time on clean up. Them and godhands seem to get a very clean cut against the plastic. Quick rub with a sanding stick and it's good to go! My prep at the min is nipper cut-hobby knife-Sanding stick
