Temporary car (Warning: Contains fail)

I'm quite gobsmacked at what you paid for that.

I've had relative 'minters' in comparison to that, and for half the money.

:/

Totally snobbish, but I wouldn't be convinced by pretty much anything to drive that. Love the mastik.

Have fun. :p

It's as if you really, really, wanted to buy the worst looking car you could find, and as a result ended up paying too much for it.

Damn I'd rather use public transport than drive that heap of ****

Please for the love of god when you have finished with it, please kill it and send pics.

You'd rather use cattle transport which is expensive, slow as hell and filled with other people rather than a private car, with aircon, and a loud stereo ?

Some people are too worried about how stuff looks instead of looking at it from a comfort and practicality point of view.

That said, for 250 quid in the UK, I think he could have got something significantly, erm, better. Like James_N's Volvo.

You paid £250 for that?!

I'd class that as over priced and I live in Devon which is (probably) regarded as the place with the most over-inflated second hand car prices ever!

The decision was based on the history being known, it being mechanically sound... not the exterior condition :p

It's a turd, and that's why I love it.

You've said that about every car you've had... and they have all been nails and have exploded, disintegrated or other similar endings haven't they?

Not really?

416i was solid.
420 was solid.
620ti went through a clutch and a set of rear calipers.
ZS went through a clutch and a cylinder head.

I'm struggling to see how they've all disintegrated / exploded? Or are you living in dream land, where anything other than Rover is 100% reliable? :)

Makes the banger I bought for £100 with 8 months MOT and 3 months tax look like a bargain:

Lasted 3 years before i crashed it :(

Thats how you do it

Theres no need to buy Rusty nails of death like this.

I'm sure I've seen more threads than that about various bits being fixed/replaced, but OK. Why did you replace the solid cars with snotters? :p
