TERA release date announced.

argg I want to try this but stuck on a crud 2mb connection... still, I could easily have the client downloaded for the first march CBT.

what are peoples initial impressions ? Korean MMO's are so much more innovative in setting and combat so hoping this follows suit.
 
Well finally got it up this morning and I can't even get to character creation, the publish/developer screens are laggy and take forever to load and then what I'm guessing is a cut scene is very laggy also.

Also lag like crazy in tribes ascend beta, no idea why.
 
I am almost level 22 with an archer :) Loving this game its not a grind fest and some quests are really fun.

You get a mount at level 11-12 which helps a lot during the questing.

If anyone is interested we can setup a guild for OCUK members.

Yeah but it isn't even as if I'm getting to play at all.

I doubt it is to do with both being 32bit clients as it is the only thing I can think off. Not lagging in the slightest in any other game.
 
Have you tried repairing both of the clients or running them in admin mode? I have no idea how to sort that out, it's weird that both are doing it.

Sounds promising. I've got the client downloading at the moment - won't be done until tomorrow morning by the looks of things...
 
hmm just signed up for the £4,30 thing, it says i paid but nothing showing on your games. ill wait for the code and see - is the download link with the code?
 
Yup once you buy the mini digital order, you need to wait for a key to enter on your account then the download option will appear.
 
after playing till level 11 have to say it is rather fun a lot more then i had in starwars still a little bit asian though and not a big fan of the 8 year old girl race...
 
I'm pleasantly surprised so far, after many korean conversions played I had no good expectations. The game is well polished for alpha stage, the translations are excellent, with matching english voice acting (anyone that played Aion would have found frustration with a lot of translations and bad acting). Also after hating AoC I was hoping for a better "action" based system, and it feels a lot better so far. As a slayer learning to time skills and evasions to avoid powerful enemy abilities gives life to an mmo that they don't usually have, ie paying attention and having something to think about every fight rather than just semi afk mashing 123.
