Terraria - Dig, fight, explore, build

If they did this

New xbox 360 and PS3 version coming with additional content as a special bonus additional content coming to the pc then you'd drop the complaints by half.

Its the additional content thing that's annoying a lot of people

I get that people were let down by the fact that it was a hyped up bit of news that turned out to be of no consequence to the vast majority of those that got excited about it when it was teasingly announced...and I agree, that kind of sucks really and is a bit harsh.

However, we got more than enough content and all got our money's worth. I would really like to see the new stuff get released on PC too but even if it doesn't I don't mind...I've had my fun and the 2 x £1.60 I spent on two copies of the game was a steal and great value for me.

There's a lot of people on the T forums with a massively entitled attitude and the amount of screaming children moaning is really quite staggering.

Agreed.
The game was very cheap, I bought several copies as gifts.
A good number of people just need a smack round the head. Dirt cheap game that HAS had a lot of updates since it's release, yet still the children are crying.

Until they make loads of money and abandon the game to go on holiday.

I can't say for sure but I'm sure it had 1y+ of support, which is pretty good for something costing £2 most of the time, if you like their games you should be happy they can use terraria funds to build a new game you may also like.

And note they added quite a lot of content patches, you propably know these as paid for dlc normally, maybe you got confused. These were patches of old when we were given free maps for cod, etc, etc, should be grateful for what they gave in terms of free updates.

and anyway so what if they stop new developement of it, doesn't stop you playing it.

Had more than a few hours of fun with Terraria, and I didn't even keep playing to the 1.1 patch :p It was very cheap, and very good value.

Hardcore was super-frustrating tho :p Glad my first char was hc. He sucked, and died often, but was a blast :p

I'm sorry but this game has to be the best value for money, even better than Torchlight... The fact it's on sale at least 3 or 4 times a year down to as little as £1 is ridiculous. :p

With that being said, anyone up for coop? I'm forever alone in Terraria. :p

Fooooo! Im peacefully adding some copper skulls to my pyramid / ziggurat styled castle - in - progress, and this bugger spawns on me!

Some great news today as Terraria, the 2D Action, Adventure, Rpg Sandbox Creation game is getting a big update. Developed by Re-Logic, this was one great game and I personally preferred it over Minecraft. You did pretty much everything to your hearts content in Terraria, in a world that was different every time. Chop down trees, build buildings, fight strange creatures, make new items, mine for new resources and much much more. I had many many hours of enjoyment with friends online trying to build strange yet wonderful buildings, such as my own arena! But this update is going to once again thrust the game back into the headlines. You'll come across new weapons such as the Beam sword and naturistic events like clouds and waterfalls. There's even more to come, so what can you spot?

Big update coming! :)

I thought the creator publicly abandoned the game, telling the community there would be no more updates? Then he started work on another game...

So this comes as a bit of a surprise!
