im online, one of my mates has connected to my server, its all working.

try restarting the client, mayb the computer and reconnecting.

Yes, on Hamachi you have to use the exact capitalisation of letters.

im going out now but will leave the serve online all day for anyone.
Left Hamachi to reload it and make sure i got the server all correct again and...

Meh give up, It took me ages to connect to the hamachi network even though i was just using it!. However when i do connect to the network, there is a flood of data coming either in or out of my router and the internet is so laggy that you can't open any browser.

I've been playing for a couple of days now. How do you guys go about finding caves? I've explored all of the surface caves before reaching corruption but I've now run out.
Is it just a case of mining down randomly and hope I get lucky or should I go over to the corruption areas (which look abit too difficult, compared to my gear).

You just need gold gear for corruption areas I think, surely you should have nearly full golden gear if you've explored all around the surface caves?
Did you dig down to the lava with your grappling hook?
