Terraria - Dig, fight, explore, build

I agree with the mass restart idea. Would be fun for the new players. :D

Is there no 'LB style' (found in Minecraft) tool for Terraria yet?

There are helpful people on there, but not much in the way of resources. Going to do a little mining offline for the time being.
 
just got this, would love to play online if someoen could show me the ropes?

can you use a character offline and on?

edit: from reading up, workbenchs, furnaces etc, seems extremely similar to minecraft just a different visual style and side scrolling?

The reason I didn't email you back Takeo is because you said you added me on Steam to get the password, but you never sent me a message on there. I trust e-mailed you it just now.

Spent yesterday afternoon mulling over to get this... will I, won't I... then just bought it as it's only 3 quid, and before I know it it's 2 in the morning and I've been playing for 6 hours straight :P

Really enjoying it, should really come with a health warning though ;)

Yeah I did the same. Went on at 10am, next thing I know its 3pm :p (so I stayed on till 6 ><).

Its amazing how little you can achieve in several hours just by getting distracted by building a random extension to your house. I've spent about an hour hollowing out the ground below my house to turn it into an extra large storage :p

That reminds me, 1 problem I've been having. How do you get it to remember the resolution? Everytime I load up the game it starts up in 800x600. I have to go into full screen and back to windowed before it goes to 1600x900.
 
I'm so glad I got this for 1.50, its probably one of the best purchases I've made through out the summer sale. I ended up playing it the entire day yesterday on the ocuk server.

I dug all the way to hell, despite dying quite a few times I made it! However I got pretty much 1 shot by demon spawn :P

Never skip mining any silver/gold ore!

I'm Creo btw if anyone is wondering :P

If only, would be nice to know where I am 1000ft down in relation to my house ><

Came across a fair bit of silver in my last trip, hopefully should have enough for the last piece of my armour. Also realised that the Enchanted Boomerang I found yesterday renders my bow completely useless and also lets me search for ore hidden in the walls :p

Then when I got back up I had a bit of fun with a Blood Moon...

Any of you guys here play with a xbox controller? I'm still tempted to nab this on sale if I can get it working on the pad well. I've seen a few glovepie scripts so it seems possible to do.
 
Can't imagine why you'd want to do that, would make mining really difficult :confused:

Evilsod, I am jealous, I found the normal boomerang but while it's very handy for certain things the damage is too low :(

I'm already compiling in my head a list of changes I'd like to see, one is recipes for upgrading weapons (silver to gold, normal to enchanted etc)
