What flavour did you get?

I always went for unflavoured because it was cheaper, but I'd end up putting crap (i.e. nesquik) in it to make it taste decent, so this time I went for chocolate - it smells absolutely amazing, a really rich cocoa scent. It tastes great, though not as much as the smell leads you to believe.

The chocolate one has the least protein content in it ;)
 
Excellent! They never used to do it.

Ive been using True Whey Chocolate mint for a couple of months and it was amazing... but now I wanted to save dosh and got impact whey Chocolate mint.. and it tastes pretty awful in comparison.

prefer unflavoured really. The flavouring difference between true and impact is eeuuughhh..

perfectly drinkable though i guess
 
Yeah, I've done the unflavoured route for a long time and now I'd rather take a hit of 0.7-1.98g per 30g scoop to have something I enjoy drinking and don't have to CHUG CHUG CHUG
 
Yes, you can, and unflavoured will taste great with a banana. It's fine if you have time to blend it and don't mind 90 extra calories from a banana.

I often drink shakes when I'm not at home so don't have the luxury of a blender - often I'll drink them with water, unless I carry around a load of milk all day. Unflavoured whey in water, whilst not gag-inducing, does not taste great.

I went for over 2 years with unflavoured whey and having switched, I find the flavoured stuff to be much nicer. Going to the gym doesn't have to be all about eating raw eggs and flossing your teeth with copper wire.
 
Speaking of eating raw eggs - is that wise? A few people have told me not to do it, because you can make yourself ill! :p (and that there's a good chance!)

Theres a chance of catching salmonella but its a very very slim chance. Although a good reason not to do it is theres a substance called avidin that stops your body from being able to absorb a massive % of the protein in the egg, but its deactived through cooking.

Really? The strawberry impact whey is fine I think...But I whisk it into oblivion :p

If you are doing both the squat and deadlift in the same session, do your squats first. If you are doing both squat and deadlift work during the week, make sure squats come early in the week and before deadlifts. Prioritize your squat by doing squats and assistance exercises and drills early in the week. I call this ‘front-loading’ your work week; by putting your ‘money sets’ in early and getting them over with, you avoid the tendency to slack off as the week marches on.

Might see how it goes...doesn't help I can't try a heavy squat due to the lack of a rack :(

Seems I was hyper-extending my back during squatting today and getting crimpling pumps/cramp in my back! Had to resort to bulgarian split which did the job very nicely instead!

Either that or my pelvis is twisted/unlevel. Have been cracking my back a lot lately and have also trapped a nerve in my neck a few times recently so think a cut down on the cracking and a visit to the eosteopath is in order!
