*** The 2010 Gym Rats Thread ***

Just measured and it's fine :) double garage and still wanted to fit both cars in because of the weather.
Only thing I wont be able to do is HC2PP but I'll just have to do seated puss press instead.
You lot have me worried about the cold though.....

How comes? not much headroom in the garage?

I was in shorts, joggers, 2 pairs of socks, t-shirt, hoody and ended up needing a pair of gloves too. This for was my leg workout. Feet went numb as I finished up, floors bloody cold and this was rubber matting!

As long as you're wrapped up properly you shouldn't feel the cold once you get going.

Well the garage is fairly tall, pretty standard I would think, but if you think I'm 6'3 with fully extended arms above head plus the height of the weights, be too close for comfort.
I don't mind the cold at all, like you say just bundle up a bit, just concern for fingers/grip going numb. Think the summer will be worse!

I've found a beauty of a healthy meal! Just thought I'd do my usual and post up in here rather than starting a new thread.

Egg fried BROWN rice! Yep Yep. Had it last night for the first time with some chicken and peas throw into the rice. And it was absolutely delicous, and far from unhealthy. I know a lot of people dislike brown rice, but I swear just give it a go. You'll be suprised what the egg and peas do for it. :)

Sounds good.... always looking for variations in meals so thanks!!

I have a great one from Mens Health magazine!

Sweet Potato (yam).. bang it in the microwave for 12 mins
Add Low salt low sugar beans
Cottage Cheese
Black Pepper....

An absolute cracker of low GI, high protein meal..

Oh I just read you guys talking about sweet potatoes, I have roasted sweet potatoes like everyday now. I've never had them my whole life untill recently, like a month ago or sommat and now I cant get enough of them, I've seen bodybuilders recommend them in videos and everyone says they're really healthy so I have smoked haddock with broccoli and sweet potatoes for tea almost every night now.

It's my new favourite food, love em so much! I only have them as roast potatoes in ovan cookied in olive oil, I haven't tried them any other way.

Sweet potatoes are the best as they are very un-processed very natural and nice tasting, unfortunatly I can't take them as it plays with my stomach and gives me the worst wind/bloating. Alternative is brown rice though.

Add another member to the pulled trap club - absolute agony and makes crossing the road quite difficult too. Going snowboarding on Friday so folks of work best get used to the smell of deep heat and the sight of me with an ice pack strapped to it.

just did my last session of HST today, then popped on the scales, looks like I'm back to triple digits again. :D
I was fairly surprised since I always felt that I should eat more during the programme, my midsection is slimmer than ever, with my pants dangling around everywhere if I don't wear a belt. Had to go back an extra hole on the belts as well, strength is up as well so not too bad in the end. :)

Did my Rhombs/traps in from cracking my neck. To the point of supporting the weight of my own head was proving difficult.

Took about a week for me to stop noticing the strain if that makes sense.

Yep, I've got the same issue - have keep really tense on the other side to take the weight from the strained side, which means that both are killing me after a while of sitting up. Did it last thursday so hopefully it should be fairly mobile by next weekend - maybe stay out the snow park for the first day or so....:p
