To be fair, you can say the same of UE, just for different reasons xD

Session today was definitely a bit rough because of feeling rough. Cut the legs back a bit and I was all kinds of tight in my glutes and hamstrings, so spent a lot of time afterwards mobilising. Probably twice as long as normal to help loosen them up. That said, I still got bench, bb row, dips, reverse crunch in. Just swapped out leg stuff for leg press. Hopefully this will only effect me for today's session.

I'm confused :)

Half way through my HST cycle now and I'm already feeling quite fatigued with it. Good times. Bring on the 1RMs!

Morba (or anyone else to be fair), you got any ideas on how to build a make shift sled kind of thing? (I'm hoping you know what I mean)

kd

They should be pretty easy to make. Base plate with a 2 inch thick pole sticking out of it and a loop to stick a chain on.
Most places sell sleds quite cheap tbh, might be worth just buying one.

New toys!!

IRL they're somewhere in between an orange and yellow. Fit is very snug but about right (I'm an 8 - manlet feet). Quite light but the heel is obviously rock solid. Will try them out tomorrow. Need a bigger gym bag now I have these and my Vibrams, liquid chalk, clothes and at some point my own belt.

Holy ****, those are lovely. Are you planning on really making the most out of them though as they are a HUGE outlay iirc :D

In the future I'd like to learn the Oly lifts, preferably at a gym with the proper facilities. For now, they should be beneficial both for high bar and the front squat, so yeah they're a bit of a vanity purchase with an eye on the future. I'll be doing deads/p.rows etc in my Vibrams still (as well as low bar squat if I can figure out how to make them feel comfortable/correct).

They're about £150. The Power Perfect II's were quite cheaper at around £100 but I just loved the look of these, they'll last years and I don't waste money on things like boozing at the weekend (I hardly drink at all), so it only stings a bit! I see people in my gym wearing designer clothing... I get my stuff in the SportsDirect clearance section lol, so when I do buy stuff that's got an actual use I can get something decent.

Cant argue with that at all, I'm well jealous.
Some oly shoes are on my wish list, just need to try a few pairs to find something that fits first!
