*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

Anyone got a link to a good diet plan for someone trying to break 17 stone barrier one day. :-)

As long as I can prep my food on a hob, hotplate or microwave then I'm good.

16 stone is about as big as I've reached thus far but I'm a skinny hard gainer at my core so I'm gonna haveto gget this down properly.. I'll be happy to hit Dwayne Johnson size in ten years lol.

I'm trying creatine at the moment as I'm on a vegan diet and I heard vegans get amazing results from it. It really helped me lift, I got 10 more reps on bench compared to before, it was like this energy came out of nowhere and I couldn't even feel the fatigue. Also it seems to work mentally too, I am solving more problems now and learning things really fast.

O lawd. I missed this brilliance.

What exactly do you mean by fully natural? Are you on protein shakes?

Haha I was actually surprised nobody posted the 'u wot m8' gif to that post, I thought everyone got bored of replying...

I didn't see it. And - to be blunt - I can't believe what has been written,

Nate: Do you want to understand precisely what is happening to you? Or do you want to keep posting a dizzying array of stuff that doesn't really make any sense at all?

Leave him alone, he can see things clearer now, he can work problems out quicker. It's like he is on a higher plane than you, another level. You're not on creatine, you wouldn't understand.

Don't be daft he's natural, we all know you need to let go of your natural status once you've dabbled in dat der creatine.

It's just hard for me being 6'4", fast metabolism, medium frame, ectomorph, vegan and fully natural which I heard takes longer.

well folks, had 3 weeks off the gym in the hope it would heal my bad back and it has made almost no difference.
So first night back in the gym and I felt like absolute *&^* tonight.

My sternum has started randomly hurting the last week or so and doing chest exercises tonight has not helped it one bit. It hurt most when doing dips so god knows what is up with me (going to see doctor next week about a knee problem so will ask him whilst I am there)

Hope this feeling blows over soon as training tonight was NO fun :(

It sucks mate, I think i've damaged my deltoid and i've had a lot of pain the last 3 months now, i even took just over a month off the gym in hope it would heal like i usually do pretty quickly so i took a trip to the doctors which she then prosumed it was my deltoid and refered me to a physio. Hope it goes well but im not expecting a miracle, the last month i've just been training and bearing the pain it sucks so bad and i've lost a **** load of strength just from having over a month off.

Awesome volume. Good luck with everything you try and do tomorrow... :D Haha!

If I had counted warm ups and other exercises I reckon it would be over 16T

I'm in pain today. And I cannot wait for the gym tonight! :D

Thank god for that, was beginning to think this thread was full little girls or babies tbh. Some decent volume!! :D

It was a tactical post ;)

don't forget some creatine ;)

Pretty please guys. Find me a hefty bulking diet I can stick to. :-)

I'll give a proper response :)

It's simply a case of tracking your calories and ensuring you eat enough. If your having issues getting calories down your throat, get some calorie dense snacks like nuts (cashews, almonds etc) into your diet or even just throw an extra 25-50g of cheese into a meal.

I am a huge fan of peanut butter myself, be that in protein shakes at home or with jam in a sandwich. A PBJ sammich is a quick and easy way to throw an extra 2-300 calories down your throat pronto.

Monitor your weight consistently each week (same time, same situation (e.g. post morning dump), same scales) and see how it is working and adjust accordingly.

Also, get some whey protein and creatine for huge gainz. :P
