*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

I know how it works, it's the only supplement worth taking.

Considering the only thing in your post that was quasi-accurate about creatine supplementation was the note related to improved cognitive functions in vegans and vegetarians, I will assume you read that article. ;)

Creatine DOES improve performance, and it IS one of the very few supplements that are actually worth a healthy person taking, but it does not work as you imply in your post.

I skimmed the article, I read about it elsewhere and I admit I was exaggerating, I'm a sucker for placebos.

Pretty please guys. Find me a hefty bulking diet I can stick to. :-)

I'm similar height to you and found snacking on bananas dipped in natural peanut butter a huge calorie boost. Get yourself a 1kg tub of peanut butter and 35 bananas. Will cost you about 11 squid and last a week.

Also cook up roast vege with quinoa, butternut sqaush is sooo good roasted and good fast carbs.

Also Ben and Jerrys core ice cream is half price in sainsburys. 200g bowl is a fine 540 cals. Tasty as hell. So tasty in fact, I just had some.

Everything contains protein, even fruit. People are way too obsessed with protein. Oh noes gotta eat 9999999g of protienzzz everyday.

You know the body recycles your own proteins? You don't need protein in EVERY single meal; we have an amino acid pool which is used to create new proteins. So you don't need them in every meal, it's unnecessary.

The guy asked for more calories and by increasing his calorie intake with healthy foods he will meet his protein intake needs naturally. If you eat enough calories from *anything* (remember, every food contains protein), you are eating enough protein.

lol

Honestly, I believe there must be a forum say "go to OcUK's sports forum and start posting drivel, you'll whip them up in to an uncontrollable frenzy!" And this is why we have people like Opeth and Nate.

What is this, misc? See ya immature kids.

Exhibit A:

lol bet you could see your abs better after losing that.
I've tried drinking four glasses of water then standing on the scales and it's about a pound extra. Wearing shoes is 2lb extra but if I go for a **** it makes no difference.

Scales are fine because my friend uses them and they are accurate for him. I heard losing or gaining 4 pound in a week is crazy, I do that in a day.

So hard for me to keep the weight on. I don't know how unheard of it is but seems abnormal to me.
