I can't really cancel it besides the other ones near me are either a lot more expensive for the time I need it or they just won't do it.
This one is a local one a lot of friends go to as well hence the decision to go there.
I am going to be going there until september then I am moving to University.
This is to get me started![]()
They had the fixed rubber hex dumbells, up to 30kg I saw but there was a whole rack so I assume larger than that and then they have the standard bars and EZ curl bar.
They had cast iron plates as well up to I am not sure but again it is a "proper" gym so I am assuming they have a full set up to whatever!
And I am a novice with regards to lifting weights. I have just been doing work at home with dumbells (10kg) and just a lot of cardio eg running and cycling.
Well I am aiming to get stronger, lose some of the flab and just generally be fitter.
I don't want to bulk up and be huge as I want to get back playing football properly once again.
So improving my cardio and upper body is crucial to start off with?
I believe there maybe a leg press. I'm trying to think back. I just noted down what I saw and knew straight away.
Is there nothing I can do as an alternative?
The bonus with strong lifts is that it lets you focus on the main compound lifts before confusing you with isolation work. It's a brilliant beginners routine.
I just thought that instead of limiting myself to just doing the squats and deadlift etc I should use the other equipment in the gym as it would be more beneficial.
if people think that its best to do stronglifts then who am I to argue!
