*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

You a rat Delvis?

And like I said, there are a lot of studies that show the opposite and that it actually increases test levels

Just lol, get so sick and tired of reading the positive effects of something then later on seeing a study suggesting the complete opposite

Green tea at fault now, I just never know what to believe :(
You will find this with pretty much every single thing you can eat. This why I honestly believe the best way is to take supplements in moderation. Cycle on and off whatever you are taking and strive to find a balance, that's what everything boils down to in the end. Ask yourself why you take a supplement and just use it for that, if at all.

I do drink green tea but I don't take the extract powders anymore, again in comes down to moderation and balance. Concentrated extracts are neither.

Macha tea is better anyway ;)

Holy conditioning...

I' be worried about cutting one of my veins he's got so many of them almost bursting to leave his body! :D

Amazing what the right training and the right drugs can achieve. I personally don't like the excessive vascularity but it's still a bit of a morbid fascination! :)

Thanks fellas.

Damn this is a shame to hear, you had made some awesome progress and got to a decent place!
How long has it been since your surgery? Also what is your expected full recovery time?

If you can still lift but only lighter weights i would suggest really focus on the power/explosiveness of the movements, as if/when you can get back to lifting heavy this will really help.

Take advantage of your time in the gym for mobility/flexibility/soft tissue work. These areas will unlock new found gains again for when you get back to lifting heavy.

I would also suggest make a log in the new logs sub forum. You will be able to use this as a measure of progress and this should help as inspiration. Count this as Dark_Shadows third coming if you will! An interesting log to check out will be DjDom56's as he had to dial things right back after he got injured.
It's now been 11 weeks since surgery and expected recovery time is still somewhat vague. My full range of motion has returned, however after visiting physio earlier this week we discovered some unusual weakness. Whilst there's some quality muscle, strength and mass - There's immense weakness on the smaller muscles; the the extent my whole chest starts pouncing to compensate for it.

Wise words. Thanks buddy :)

The log is a fantastic idea; it seems just about what I need right now. Although I don't have a great deal of time to commit to online communities (I've been immensely quiet for over a year) I'll be sure to get on that. And DjDom56's log is very interesting.
