*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

Just...what?

Yes, pat your self on the back for all of your hard work in educating yourself. Good luck with your 200g weight fluctuation goals of the next two weeks.

How does this help?

You know what I'm going to say next dont you?

"If you have nothing positive to contribute....."

Am I not clearly trying?

What exactly are you trying to say here?

Tell me what you think is not right about the diet and then I can do something about it.

It sounds like you think the calories are too low, so my body is trying to conserve fat rather than lose it.

If that the case, say it!

Offer some sound advice!

I thought I was meant to be in a calorie deficit?

Brah you'll never make gains with that attitude. Ditch social life, acquire gainz.

Got called a right boring ******* the other day! Drinking has stopped for the time being (1 month and counting) goodbye social life hello gainz brah!

Boy getting mad.

Personally I would stay quiet for a bit, do what your doing for a few months and then come back with what has happened (weight loss/no weight loss) come back and rub everyones face in it or (most likely) ask for some advice.

Better read the advice given, don't read what you don't like.

Even though everyone in here will be a bit tongue in cheek, there is no doubt that you will get advice. Th

Why don't you go back and read the comments in your thread. Infact scrap that, i just did it for you.

You posted about 50 times in there saying "i don't know what to eat"

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18299646

Read the thread, work out what you need to eat, eat it.

Just ****ing do it and come back in a few weeks to re assess. Don't post another bull **** excuse, don't make yet another change to your workouts, log your food on myfitnesspal/dailyburn, go ****ing do it.

Thats what I'v done and I'm back here. I started with saying I thought things where going well.

You guys derailed it by saying that 200g isnt much progress.

I'm not going to get in to this any more. This is fruitless.

I'll post in my own thread and only people that have something worthwhile to post can say it there.

Rope about 6ft
Razors
Many pills
A tall building
A loaded gun
Train tracks

All things to consider.

Bolded the parts you should reconsider about this post and see that people where actually giving you some advice.

Plenty of it on here, infact theres about 200pages from last years thread, supp advice and diet advice threads.

With more information in that any single person could ever know.

I gave up trying to help you when after a few months of getting the same answers you were STILL asking the same questions.

I have no idea if you're trying, but you clearly aren't trying hard enough.

Your lack of progress has nothing to do with the advice you've had on this forum. You've had more than enough help, and since you first posted you should have made dramatic changes to your physique. If the reasons for this didn't appear to be based around your unwillingness to listen and work hard, you would have my sympathies and continued efforts to help.

Huh? How did you pull that meaning out of my post?

I was actually referencing your pattern of congratulating yourself for various forms "progress", and the fact that I doubt you'll see much body composition change in the coming weeks.

Only the saintly patience of mythingyx is up to the challenge.

Please don't lie.

BMR = 66 + (13.7*70) + (5x172.5) - (6.76*31)

BMR = 66 + 959+ 862.5 - 209.56

BMR = 1677

*1.4 = 2349

10% = 234.9

2349 - 234.9 = 2114

So why are you eating 1400 cals not 2100?

Some practical advice! I really didnt know how to calculate my bmr. So I estimated based on what I was eating before and kocked off around 300 calories.

So your saying I should be aiming for about 2100?

Oh and who said I was lying?

My diet and protein consumption was never great, which is what I attributed to be the reason why I never made much progress.

Also I seemed to be pulling in to directions, fat loss and muscle gain.

Things are much clearer now.

This looks way over my target of about 1500 cals, but it does offer a solution to a problem I have, which is not enough carbs around gym time.

WUT!

1,500 calories, where did you get this magical figure from ?

Please don't lie.

Thanks - Skillmister saved me doing it :)

I would work out a BMR and add 500 cals before i even look at anything else. BMR is just to EXIST, without exercise, daily activities etc. I would look at even increasing this to 2,500 yes, even on a cut. I have offered my advice and without blowing my own trumpet i kinda know what i am doing.

By the looks of things other members who have good reputations and standing have guided you and you are doing your own thing - that's fine.

If you want to carry on losing (and you seem to be happy with) 2lb a week carry on.
