Can anyone recommend a good Chest / tris session for tonight?

I usually do something like..

BB Bench,
DB Flys
Cable Crossovers
Close grip chest press (on machine)
Dips
Tricep Kickbacks.

I fancy mixing it up a touch. Maybe Incline DB press somewhere?

Im interested in what kind of routines some of you more aesthetically pleasing folk use.

Dips 5x5, go as heavy as you need
incline db bench 5x3 - HEAVY
skull crushers - 3x10

Congrats with the comp! mirin' all your lifts

I've finished another cycle of HST and as always can't knock it however am beginning to find it a little repatative. I like the low volume and high frequency and the variety that comes with it. I don't have a prefence for a size or strength focused program, these are linked somewhat, but if I can acheive both it'd be spiffing.

I've been pointed towards The Texas Method and also have an acquaintance who recommended Wendler's 5,3,1.

I feel that if I don't have structure then I'm simply wasting my time and as I've found before after finishing HST I want to have a week or two to faff around but find by my second workout I'm lost and it feels a bit pointless.

I've only really got 3 training days per week with occasionally some time at the weekend.

Suggestions welcome :)

If you want a really hard roller which gets deep into the tissue I cannot recommend the black rumble roller. The blue one is a bit softer - but whilst it is whole new worlds of pain the rumble roller is world class! :D

Saved to my wish list for birthday time, cheers :)

No to tricep kick backs - use a cable machine and a rope far better.

Do ring dips rather than regular dips - so humbling and so much better! However dips are good - but they need to be heavy.

Don't use the machine - do CGBP on the bench.

Barbell bench is good.

Try alternative DB incline press - that's rather humbling too.

Cable flies or DB flies are good as long as you keep the tension at all times.

Cheers for reply FF

Ill ditch the kickbacks, I do the cable/rope Tricep pushdown occasionally but the rope here is absolute crap. it looks like a dog has chewed it lol .

Dips are something Ive only recently began to do. They put so much strain on my shoulders they scare me. I have to be very strict in my setup and Depth with them.

Might try weighted dips tonight. Ill tell ya how I get on.

Also I think I might start videoing my form for critique.

Considering how much Ice has squatted in training and deadlifted for reps I think he's still the man to beat when fit and healthy but LiE's turned in to a lifting machine over the last year and just doesn't seem to stop, he's like a bloody T-1000! Makes it all the more interesting for us mere mortals though :D

As I said yesterday, you absolutely stole the show.

Hopefully next time I can make things more interesting ;)

And yeah, the unfortunate truth is that someday Dom will outlift us all, it's just a matter of him getting a few more years of training. Then me and LiE will form our own federation/support group for OAP lifters.

Forgot to say well done LiE. Of all your lifts that 202.5 squat was by far the most impressive imo. Not just because it was a PB but because the height and speed made it look incredibly easy for your heaviest squat to date. Personally think you had 210 in you yesterday :)
