There is no warranty sticker on the device, so no seal needs to be broken to carry out the Ram Upgrade.


This is my video of the RAM Upgrade, its abit fiddly, so just take your time.

I bought the white version initially and it had the case. Unfortunately, the headphone jack didn't work, so back it went to be replaced, by a blue version. Annoyingly, the blue version didn't have the case. :mad:

Does seem some random going on case wise.
I got my Blue Aspire One on release, and it came with the pouch.

Might be worth contacting where you bought it from, and then following up with Acer.

Its actually ice silver.

I order the white one but it turns out to be ice silver. Most site got their description wrong.

this ice silver is nicer than blue, as i compare it in the purple shirt store.

I went back and they opened up 2 more units, no case in either :(
I was going to buy a 3rd party alternative anyway, it's just a little disappointing that there isn't one included to serve as a stopgap until I get one.

I checked Acer's site and the case is listed as an optional item, so I have no cause for complaint :cool:
 
Let us know what you get as a 3rd party alternative.
I saw a Portable HD carrier I was considering getting the measurements for, so I could securely carry the One and power supply, but still keeping things small.

I have been reading the posts here about the Acer One and was wondering as long as I had XP would it be as good as a normal laptop?

I will be hoping to use it for the net, minor photo editing and dreamweaver along with the usual windows applications.

mmm, when i play music ad turn the volume to max, the sound will come out distorted/cracking..

any1 have same problem?

well as long as u get the 1gb ram version it shoud be ok for some stuff dont know about dreamweaver but i think it should be ok :D
 
Yeah, I have not installed a ram upgrade yet, but the hard disk version with 512mb is very quick with XP.
 
Had to cancel my order with the place I ordered it from as they kept changing the estimated stock date. Ordered from somewhere else same price but that is including next day delivery!

So hopefully tomorrow (finally) I will have my White 1gb ram 120gb HDD linux version!
