*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Just installed iOS 4.1, the first thing I've noticed is that they've fixed the problem where if you had a Google account set up with ActiveSync it would force the 'Require Passcode' setting to Immediately, now you can choose the timeout.

presumably he has a tesco iphone. Tesco piggybacks off o2's network so it showed up o2 in the status bar.

Guessing thats now changed to tesco.

Well, Tesco use O2 as a carrier, so it could be any number of technical reasons for the phone reading the carrier as O2/Tesco.

Or Tesco have bought them out, unlikely

he probably on a tesco contract, but it comes up as a O2 connection currently. The update may display different information?

thats my guess :)

sorry should have been more specific

yes I'm on a TESCO contract, and now instead of saying O2-UK in top left - it says TESCO -not sure it just looks a bit odd - just will take some getting used to

mind you in general settings, carrier network it still says O2-UK - lol

My rant having upgraded to 4.1 is having to have an american spelt game "center" that I cant rename. Grrr! :(

Im updating my friends iPhone for him and I downloaded the new update, it currently says (Processing File) on itunes but it is backing up the iPhone just now and it has a progress bar that has been stuck near the start for about 40 minutes now, anyone have similar?

check to see if there's still multitasking apps running in the background

also finds like push will tend to keep the wireless connection on even when in sleep.
