*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Given the size of this thread please be more specific.

If you are often in areas where you have a weak signal, it is an issue. You have to be mindful of how you hold the phone.

If you are usually in strong signal areas, don't worry about it.

And yes, it is still possible to get a 3GS 8GB from most networks.

(People saying it is a non-issue are either in strong signal areas most of the time or have no idea what they are talking about)

Then it's an issue. The signal at home on Orange is dreadful, at work it's fine. Why can't they just redesign it so it works properly?

Because that would be admitting there is a flaw in the design, Apple won't do that.

There is talk of them introducing newly designed units into the stock system so its harder for people to notice but whether that is true or not remains to be seen.

OK, thanks. My contract expires in February, so I'll have a look and see what they are like then. I can have an upgrade before then, but don't see the point unless it's fixed.

Same boat as me - can change in Jan or Feb and rather have the fixed version, whether they officially do it or not.

do you think the iphone is better than all it's competitors? as i was looking to get one but there seems to be so much choice when it comes to all these new touch screen do everything phones! :D

Have Apple redesigned the iPhone 4 to fix the antenna issue yet?

I have had an iphone 4 since launch and have yet to encounter any antenna issues, infact, my reception is far better then it was on my 3G.

It's the best phone in the world mate. :D

Same 'ere. Had my iP4 since the TMobile release in August and I've had no issues with reception. 1 dropped call but that was because I was in a really bad reception area anyway.

@ellingham - Yep, as e36Adz said, its awesome. An incredible little piece of technology and so much more than just a smartphone.

Oi! enough of that sarcasm :D
Looking around it seems there's the samsung galaxy, the HTC ones and the iphone. Obviously a few of you might be biased but just wanted to get some thoughts ;)
How do you like your iphone?

Seriously it depends on what you want from it...if you want to tinker around ie customising and installing new firmwares without being told that you cant then Android is your best bet.

If your just happy with using the phone with minimum of fuss then iphone is your best bet....saying that if you jailbreak your iphone then it opens up a whole new world of possiblities ie customising etc. Without jailbreaking your phone, you cant really customise the iphone other than new wallpapers etc.

Just want a nice touchscreen for listening to my music, snapping a few pictures and getting some useful apps and games (maybe getting an emulator on there to play some ds games, possible?)
