Well if they are stopping the free bumpers then there is a chance something will change. I can't upgrade till early next year so will get one then either way.

Thats not really an issue - just the way it was designed many many years ago - you really should have read up and checked as its a well known deficiency. Think Ive used BT for file transfer maybe 5 times since BT was invented - I think you should return it if it affects you that much...

Does anyone know good insurance for the iPhone. I am currently paying £11.99 a month for my HTC Desire with the GeekSquad.

But before i phone them up to switch my details to my iPhone 4 does anyone know off other companies that do insurance?

I was looking at these guys - https://www.mobilephoneinsurancedirect.com - £5.50 a month for a 32gb iPhone 4 seems to good to be true!

Does anyone know as I've ordered my Iphone on the 22nd and i might not have it till after the 30th, am i still entitled to a free bumper ?

And how do you get one ? its an app i hear ?

The free bumper offer ends on sept 30th so after that no you will not be able to get one via the app. But ive heard if you ring up apple and tell them your having signal issues then they might give you one for free.

You do know you could cancel the online order and go into the apple store and buy one if they have stock right??....that way you get one straight away and you could get a free bumper via the app.
 
Yeah I mate I think your best option is if you can get to the store relatively easy then just to head down to the store. Saying that though my mate went in yesterday and they are out of iPhone 4s well at least the 32gb model.

But he got their number to phone them each day because their will be more coming in stock in the next few days. You should defiantly be able to get one before the free app promo is ended!

- What's battery life like listening to music? How many hours can you get out of it?
- How often do you find yourselves having to charge it, and what is your usage like?
- Is Applecare/insurance worth it, if taking out a year's contract?
- How do I go about getting a bumper? Does it come with the phone or ... ?
- Also I presume the apple site is just out of date and the iphone's fine with windows 7?

Stupid question time. I just got an iPhone 4 and I currently own a 3GS.

If I do a backup of the 3GS, and then plug the iPhone 4 in and restore from that, what gets carried across?

I would like it to keep:

- Contacts
- Texts
- Email settings
- Browser favourites
- Apps
- Photos and videos

Is this possible?
 
how do i transfer photos or files to the iphone ? and how do i get photos from the iphone to my macbook ? im probably missing something obvious but there is no photos section in itunes ?
