*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Just ordered an iphone4, is there anyway to transfer everything from my current 3G? Not sure if there is a setting in Itunes perhaps?

I went to use my Iphone 4 camera today, haven't used it for a while...

Now i seem to have a blue tint to the centre of the photos....:mad::mad:

Anyone else get this, quick google seems to suggest its not an uncommon issue...

Wonder if its anything to do with the 4.1 update as i was waiting for the new JB, so have only just updated....

Am i going to have to send it back to Apple?

No just take it to an apple store and see one of the genius people to get it looked at or ring up apple and make an appt.

Did you get this blue tint before you updated to 4.1?? or is it happening after the 4.1 update and i know this sounds stupid but have you made sure you have taken off the protective sticker on the camera lens??.

What screen protectors are people using on their iphones?

I picked up a front and back set when i got it, but the front one has started to darken in places- i partially peeled it back today and was shocked to see how much brighter the screen is without it.. needless to say its going straight in the bin just as soon as I can find another!

Any recomendations?

I dont think it had the blue tint, last time i used the camera it was still on 4.0.1, and it looked ok....

Yep all film and such taken off, and no case to get in the way either... :)

EDIT: Just found this...

Hmmm funnily enough seems like my iphone4 has the same issue...just took a picture of a white piece of paper and i have the blue tint...seems like its an issue when taking pics with fluorescent lights.

Im using the power support anti glare screen protector...pretty decent screen protector although because its anti glare it has a slight grainy effect to it.

Thanks, seems a lot of people rate the Power Support ones. Think I might try the clear version rather than the anti glare. Its the Zagg invisible shield i have at the moment... invisible it is not! Darkened and patchy where it covers the screen and all over orange peel... very disapointed, might try sending it back.

Only trouble is the PS protectors are ~£30.. ouch!

Got 4.1 working yesterday and jailbroke (Greenpois0n). Been playing around with HDR pics, it's a neat feature. When it works it's really good, and when it doesn't you've got the non-HDR versions anyway, so there's nothing to lose.

From a usability and ease-of-results perspective I really like the IP4 camera. Good enough for decent visual memories, which is the main point of a mobile phone camera in my opinion.

Although out of all the photos I've ever taken on any camera, my favourite one was using my IP4.

Its certainly the best phone camera i've ever used.

I keep HDR turned off normally, simply because it takes longer to save the image once you've taken it- presumably processing the HDR image.

Hey there

I recently got an iPhone 4. I think I'm having some battery issues . After a full charge and 54 mins usage and 1 hour 20 mins standby I have 82 % battery left. Surely that can't be right?

i have to charge mine every day because im constantly on it really :P owned it for a few months now, prety much since release.

Check your email settings and see what apps are running in the background. I found that Facebook was keeping the data connection permanently open and eating battery for fun.

I went for the PS anti-glare as well. Stupidly expensive but it is very nice, cuts out any reflections when you're watching videos and reduces friction on the screen making swiping easier. Oil from your fingers isn't as visible either. A lot of people have mentioned that it gives the screen a 'grainy' look, but tbh I don't see it - it looks matte rather than gloss, but I've not noticed any degredation in clarity. Pretty easy to fit too.

Shame they are priced so high!

Took 8 weeks for delivery as they are hand made. There is a choice of oiled bamboo or natural along with a black aluminium bezel or a stainless steel one.

Offers a nice tight fitment between the phone and the case itself.
Look forward to seeing the metal back case!

Quick question guys,

My O2 contract is up for renewal soon so am considering getting another iPhone 4 via them which I could sell to subsidise the cost of my contract. If I did this do you know if the O2 iPhone 4s are locked to O2 and if they are how much would it cost to unlock them for sale?

Ultimately this might be a sneaky way my sister gets a free iPhone 4 from me - I probably would prefer to be on a SIM-only plan considering O2s changes in data usage, but even then I dont think the grass is much greener with other providers (please prove me wrong though)...

ps3ud0

I've just picked up my iphone 4 on 3. Got what I think is a pretty good deal.

It was between the iPhone and the new DesireHD, but my main gripe was the cost of the phone. Well, it seems that now phones are becoming more and more costly, finding a good deal is becoming harder.

Got myself a 16gb for £100, 500 mins, unlimited texts, 1GB of data for £30pm. its a 24 month contract, which i wasn't keen on, but the way I see it, I'll be able to sell the phone in little over a year to pay off the contract if needs be. That thinking stops me feeling so pinned down.

Anyway, the reason I'm here (this time) is to ask for a recommendation on a screen protector? I don't mind paying for quality.
