Yes they are locked if you get them from O2 and their unlock website doesn't say they won't be unlocked sometime in the future.

Various companies claim to be able to unlock them though I'm just going to wait to see when O2 will unlock them.

Also, apparently, you can unlock yourself if Jailbroken.
 
Anyone experiencing issues with the battery not charging to 100% on odd occasions?

So far this week, it's only hit 100% 3 times, every other day it'll run to 92%, 90%, and this morning it was 89%. There's nothing running in the background, and it's had at least 8 hours on charge. Strangely enough, I've had about 4 iPhone overheating error messages in the past 2 months and it's always after I pull it out of my jeans pocket which doesn't get hot at all :\
 
I picked up an iPhone 4 16gb for Three late Saturday afternoon.

Head's up if you get one from Three, make sure they give you the right sim card! Knew i should have checked before I left the shop.

Yep ive noticed that with mine...i dont know if its because ive jailbroken my phone or what but this morning it was sat at 90%...checked to see if anything was running but nothing was so put it back in the dock and 30mins later it was 100%...strange that its done that a few times now but i havent had any overheating messages or anything.
 
Anyone had a problem with the remote button on the iphone 4 not working?

It is definitely the iPhone at fault, i tried the same pair on my old iPhone and iPad and both work, even tried another pair of iPhone headphones too, same thing.

Is there some how a setting to turn the remote on/off that i don't know about?

I have tried rebooting to no avail.
 
When i was in the Apple store exchanging the broken IPhone for a new one, the guy sat next to me was swaping his broken iPhone 4 for a new one too. His girlfriend left it in his jeans and it went into the washign machine. Water damage, cracked screen. Insurance won't cover it because they say he hasn't taken reasonable care. But Apple would replace it for £150......



£150 and he got a NEW iPhone 4, he did have to hand over the old broken one but still....£150 for a new iPhone???!



Is that how much they cost or really worth?

p.s. Looking at my receipt for exchange of mine, it is £118 + VAT, if i had to pay it.

So £138 really...

Well in parts that's about what they cost (excluding, R&D, advertsing etc.), up to you to decide how much they're worth.

Bit like saying PhotoShop comes on a DVD and DVDs cost 10p, £600 what a rip off! :p
 
Just took my iPhone 4 back to the shop.

It kept restarting every 5 or so minutes for no apparant reason. Tried restoring and all that and it didn't fix the problem.

I have to wait 7 to 10 days for a replacement now. It's such bull****.

If this happens again, how easy is it to sell an iPhone 4? I might just get a Samsung Galaxy S, hopefully that won't break on me.
 
Anyone else had problems rotating the photos app? All my other apps switch to landscape fine but photos never seems to do it. Can be fixed easily by a restart but doesn't last very long before it happens again. (Yes its not on orientation lock before anyone asks..)

Oh and it still wont remember my voicemail settings :(

Well I mean, what do you about unlocking it and all that stuff?

Until I get my phone back, i bought a really cheap phone and flogged the £10 top-up simcard.

I get a nostalgic feeling every time I use the predictive text.
