********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

Biggest flaw so far for me is that the quick access to the camera from the lock screen isn't that quick seeing as you have to press the home button twice, surely the icon should just be there?

Oh and yeah Siri aint much use either :o

I had a 3GS, backed up to icloud last night. iphone 4S arrived at work today and restored. All contacts, photos, calendar and apps have synced

Only thing that hasnt synced is music and videos

What is icloud? If i do a backup on itunes, does that not backup contacts, photos, apps...etc? Or do i need to get icloud aswell?

Thanks

The hope I have with Siri, is Apple have obviously released it as beta software so they understand there are issues.

Things can only get better with time.

Although admittedly it is frustrating to use at the moment.

I actually thought it felt heavier than my 4 when i took it out of the box. Though with one in each hand i dont think you can notice a difference.

From apple...

Use iPhone Regularly
For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it’s important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

I can't pull up the article (in work), but I've read that doing this on a new device is bad.. some do not regain the potential to store charge if depleted to 0% on the initial use. I don't disagree with the Apple article, but I'd advise against it on the first use.

Mine delivered at 2:22pm :D w00t!

I've read that too, although I've also read that you should do it once every few months rather than once a month, and every other time you should just charge it from 30% or so up.

I've had slightly conflicting opinions when reading up on laptop batteries in the past.

I have been absolutely blown away by Siri. It makes mistakes occasionally, but 90% of the time it recognises what I say correctly. I think this might be because I have a southernly accent - identical to siri's if you get what I mean?
