Has anyone received their 4S text from Tesco mobile yet?

Hi all,

Just a quick one, having registered my interest for an iPhone 4S on the Tesco mobile website I called them up to ask if they had any more info on what prices they are doing for upgrading customers. I was told that they couldn't discuss this with me until I have received my text from them about it. In the same breath she said that she was very surprised that I hadn't received it yet.

I asked if she could make sure that I was down as having registered my interest and she said that she couldn't tell me.

I was just wondering if anyone has actually got a text from them at all?

Also wondered what kind of deals they have offered any existing customers?

Really hope I am on their systems as having registered interest, I was tempted to do it again in case it didn't register properly first time, but I don't want to in case it puts me to the back of the queue.

Thanks all,

G

Haven't had a chance to play yet, so still using my 4

Is the speed difference noticeable? I don't want any OMG YES!!!1111 just through excitement and hype. Just day to day tasks, is it that much quicker?

With the new one and the old phone side-by-side, I would say the difference is noticeable.

Otherwise I'm not entirely sure you would notice the difference... It is definitely a lot snappier though

All went horribly wrong at this end, ended up cancelling my order with Vodafone. I was always a bit reluctant about signing up to a contract, in the space of 2 hours Vodafone managed to live up to all that is wrong with mobile carriers.

I ordered on the 7th, and received a text last night that I could collect my phone today after 10am. So I booked time of work, drove into town and paid to park. Went to the store and they did not have my phone. They had plenty that were not assigned but could not give me one. I was told to come back around 3 as it might be in and was told to contact customer service. For some insane reason, Vodafone store CS can't contact telephone CS if you ordered online! Finally got through after a 40 minute wait and was told to go back to the store on Monday. Absolute idiots.

I had another discussion with the store and was told they could give me an unreserved phone, but I'd have to phone CS again (probably be on hold for 30 plus minutes) and cancel my upgrade. They would then make another store order, but I'd lose the £60 cash back for pre ordering!

I accept that mistakes and delays happen. But I don't accept than when it does happen the customer should have to spend the time chasing things up. Thats what stores are for. While everyone I spoke to tried to help, they seemed crippled by a "computer says no" mentality. I dread to think it what it would be like trying to deal with a billing problem. Looks like I'll be stumping up the cost and picking up a phone from the Apple store.

Not of any use but I registered my interest yesterday (new customer) and eagerly await them to get in contact!

Couldn't she check that you were registered?
