The whole experience was a bit of a shock for me. The stores seem to operate in as silos, with absolutely no power to do anything other than sell phones and a little bit of setup assistance. You would have thought the industry would have observed the impact quality support at apple retail stores has had on sales.

I suspect all carriers are the same, so there's not a lot of point in moving. All I need to do now is get them to refund my credit card for the handset. I bet thats going to be fun.

Try just emailing Guy Lawrence, you'll get a call within a working day from the directors office, they sort things out sharpish.

i'm noticing, any photo's you make on the iPhone 4S, you can't rotate in Windows Photo Viewer. It comes back with an error saying It can't save because there's a problem with the picture properties..

Could see this being a big problem.. Anyone else noticing this?

Move it off the phone and try from a local folder in Windows.

How can i get videos onto my I phone 4s

Hi all wondering if any1 can help me.

I am trying to put some tv shows on my iphone.I have them on my pc in AVI format.When i go to itunes there is no option to import from library or anything just an option to download from itunes or buy a series pass.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to encode them to a format that iTunes can see. This would be .m4v, H.264

Use a program called Handbrake, and queue up a load of films, or if you just want to watch them on your local network, you can stream them in AVI format using an app called AirVideo

I'm finding this phone awesome at the moment
I've upgraded from 16GB to 32GB which is epic! Having the extra space to throw stuff on is great - No more having to choose which apps to install or not
Siri is great - It'll be better when it can do location finds, maps and traffic etc. It'd be even better with 3rd party support Hopefully, this is just the beginning

Also, looking forward to when the Jailbreak community make an untethered jailbreak and update their apps. Two things I miss the most are larger, scrolling folders and SBSettings in the Notification Area

Okay, got a question.

Currently have a 3GS on Vodafone. New 4S arrives tomorrow, on Three. I have my PAC, but can't start the process till I have my Three number.

How do I transfer it all over to the new phone? Use the 4S as a new device, then when the porting is complete, restore the 3GS stuff to it?

Or use both at the same time? How's that work with my Apple ID etc?

Just backup your current iphone and then restore it on your new one.

It will have nothing to do with the number, as you''ll be logged in on the new phone under your old apple id.

Well it should work fine, due to it being under your apple ID. With whatsapp, you'll have to wait using that until your number is ported otherwise it will use the new number.

If your selling your previous one it will be wiped and likewise if you are going to give it to anyone else.

Anyone here done the jump from 3G to 4S? Just wondering what the process is to get all my data across from my 3G to the 4S since iOS 5 isn't compatible with the 3G. Will iTunes just handle it all for me if I backup my old 3G and then restore to the 4S?
