********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

Did the restore and fresh install on mine from the off and my battery is still at 94% after 6 hours on standby and half hour useage. That was with bluetooth left on by accident.

If it carries on like that I'm more than happy.

Is it normal that after you unplug the phone from the charger, having been on overnight (air plane mode), it almost immediately drops to 99%, and then quick quickly down to 98%?

That's a calibration thing my SGS2 does the same sometimes. Try fully discharging the battery completely and then charging until full to make sure the calibration is right.

Strange, mine does the opposite.

Starts at 100% and stays at 100 for ages, 6 hours later its at around 97% then when it gets to 20-40% it seems to drain a lot faster than when fully charged

My battery is simply stunning. Just to add a bit of positive for once. I was going to return mine without even opening it after reading the issues.

Mines been sat now for 26 hours. With 3 hours useage and the battery has just got to 70%. I imagine I'd get 3 days on standby with 6-9 or so hours of my normal use.

That far exceeds my expectations.

No I don't use any email, push is on for the apps I use. Stable edge area? If that means the signal strength then no, vodafone sucks for me at home rarely above 2 bars upstairs and nothing downstairs :(

Again, how?

I'm currently on 2 hours 30mins usage
22 hours standby
38% left

Are you not connected to Wifi or mobile data?

I have email on manual fetch, wireless and mobile data on.
Locatino services - Just find my phone, compass calibration, diagnostics and usage and mobile network search on. Ping off, Siri off. Brightness on just below half, auto brightness off

How do we stop push.apple.com?

As I said, restrict these - Itunes, appstore and facetime

I will do more testing tomorrow but it looks like im not getting connections to push.apple.com now (or its been idle since i turned those tings off an hour ago). netstat is with the £2 it cost me

edit - nope, looks like there is something else making push.apple.com work. Back to the drawing board
