Because your Scottish, it's unpredictable. Just have to go with whatever works best.
 
Siri doesn't understand me either and I have what I'd consider a normal southern (London) accent. Ie, not super posh but in no way cockney.

I put it down to siri being rubbish. :p
 
Struggles with me too. Have noticed I barely use Siri at all now. Think I only ever ask it to set timers when cooking

If it has a number, it will be 5. Apple wouldn't jump from 4S to 6. It sounds faintly ridiculous, even if it is technically the 6th-gen iPhone.

Following the 'new iPad', though, the smart bet's on it just being called 'iPhone' or the '2012 iPhone'. Makes sense to get away from version numbers before they start getting high enough to sound silly. You couldn't have an iPhone 15...

Got the 5.1 update yesterday and it seems to of sorted my 4s battery issues out,
was getting between 24 to 32 hours out of a full charge with a little to no use although my phone reported use of about 75%.
After update currently sitting at 23 hrs standby with phone reporting 2hr 12 min use. My own use is 38 mins, and my battery is on 69%, OMG 69% :D I really hope this carries on and it does not revert back to its appauling battery life...
Also can now switch 3g off as well..
 
Up to 5.1 on Wednesday night.... off charge nearly 17 hours ago with over 3 1/2 hours solid use and several hefty calls and it's still at nearly 50%. Would have been nigh on dead by now with 5.0.1 and earlier.

Results good so far I'd say!
 
hmmn, i'm on o2. Updated to 5.1 last night but now i have no 3g connection. It shows it on the top bar (ie it says 3g) - but whenever i try to load something that requires a data connection, i'm told i don't have a data connection!!! :( Have tried turning on and off

edit: d'oh - sorted it. Had to change it again to wap.o2.co.uk in settings as it had reverted back to the default (wrong) setting

Massively improved battery life for me... 93%, Usage 1hr 3mins, Standby 8hrs 29mins (I am currently on airplane mode with WiFi on FYI).
 
Anyone know the cost at Apple to replace a smashed front screen on a 4S? Phone only slipped out of my pocket sat in my chair at work so fell about 1 foot..

Off the top of my head it's around £170 I think... but you never know with Apple, they might not charge you anything!
 
I hope so! Had a replacement unit for a hardware fault a week or so ago (this one) and my macbook pro stolen at the weekend. Now had this happen :(
 
My battery was pretty good before 5.1, now it's even better.

Used to be sat between 35-49% by the time I would put it on charge before going to bed, last night it was on 69%. Good stuff!
 
Hey guys I have a couple of issues with my 4s I got today!

1. I have no "+" in my contacts so can't add any contacts :confused:

2. How do I reset Siri? Apparently you turn it off and on again, but that doesn't work. It still keeps calling me my mates name and thinks my mate is my dad :confused:

I have latest iOS too.
